A beautiful cottage in the heart of Mousehole, Cornwall. The cottage is 5 minutes from Mousehole Harbour - which is incredibly picturesque. The village itself has a few good restaurants, local shops and plenty of interesting galleries. The nearest towns of Newlyn and Penzance are 2/3 miles away with local buses running every 30 minutes. Many excellent sandy beaches all within 20 minutes drive and lots of super coastal walks.
The cottage is very cosy, with a log burning stove. There is a light kitchen/dining room, (with washing machine, full gas oven/hob and microwave) a living room (with stove) a downstairs bedroom/study which has a single bed. There are 2 small doubles and a bathroom with tub and shower upstairs. There is a very small outside space as the cottage is just off the road/lane, and there is a small space with bench in the courtyard which has many plants. It is very tastefully decorated throughout and we have left many works of art and ceramics from local craftspeople in the cottage to keep it feeling homely. The owner (my mother) looks after the cottage and guests and lives just across a small courtyard in an annexe/loft.
Most cottages in Mousehole are let for a minimum of a week but we are open to shorter bookings. Unfortunately we do not think the cottage is suitable for young children. Dogs are welcome on the condition they are never left alone, go upstairs and the owners hoover thoroughly before leaving. It is best suited to one or two couples. Or a small group of friends who want to relax - Mousehole is a quiet sleepy village.
Unfortunately mobile phone signal is not great, depending on your provider and where you are in the village!
