Eid is a wonderful guide for Wadi Rum. When you book his camp you get way more than lodging; you get every meal, and the best guide in the valley. He was born in the desert and knows everything about it. He and his family are extremely generous and hospitable. He also has a knack for knowing when you want to enjoy the solitude of the sunset. He was right on time for picking me up from the village and has this whole process down to a T. Staying here is a must.

I stayed at Eid's place for one night and it was one of the most memorable experiences I've had in jordan. Between Eid's stories and the absolute breath taking night sky it's hard to not want to come back and visit Eid. I also did one of his private tours with him and it went very well. The food he prepared for us was incredible as well. I would definitely recommend Eid to anyone

I was Eid's only booked guest the same night he was helping a family wedding. I didn't actually stay at his camp as it turned out to be easier and a better situation for me to join another camp after meeting some other travelers later that night. Eid didn't make it clear that I'd have to hang out at the Bedouin wedding all night... So I was disappointed that I didn't have more time in the desert. Next morning he picked me up and took me on a jeep tour. It covered all the main spots in Wadi Rum, and after I had a nice vegetarian lunch at his home. It was a pretty random experience overall which I made the best of, but it took the magic out of seeing the desert I think. Joining a Bedouin wedding was unique - but difficult when no one can communicate with you. I was dropped off and had to fend for myself. Eid is a nice guy, but I don't think he handled the situation so well. My impression of the area and how the camps are run makes me think a laid back attitude goes a long way.

The trip exceeded expectations: Eid's brother (Saoud) met us at wadi rum's visitor center and took us on a jeep ride around the desert. We got to see beautiful sights and explore parts of the desert. At night Eid and Saoud cooked us dinner and served us tea as we sat around the camp fire. We enjoyed insightful conversations and learned about bedouin life. We spent the last part of our night stargazing. In the morning Saoud served us breakfast (and more tea!!!) before driving us to the visitor center. Eid and Saoud were very welcoming and truly made our trip an unforgettable one!

Definitely recommand Eid's place! He and his family are very friendly. Great experience, his place has one of the best views for watching the sunset and the food is traditional and good! We also did a very nice 4-hour 4WD tour. Don't hesitate and book a night here!

We went with Eid's family to his house and the Bedouin tent out back, which augments his house. We met his lovely family and children, and experienced the Bedouin hospitality. We chose to take a camel ride through the desert which was excellent. I experienced a medical problem however and wasn't able to finish the camel ride. Eid took me to the doctor, and put me up until I had recovered. I really regret not being able to stay in the desert camp. At that stage we decided to go to Aqaba to recover. I appreciate so much his hospitality and care.

Hello there, my name is Eid Hamdan.

I'm a Bedouin from Wadi Rum and I grew up in a traditional Bedouin tent. My mother is still living a happy and simple life among nature, with animals such as goats, dogs and camels.

My personal camp is located in the sunset area, where you can enjoy an amazing view during the day and the brightness of the stars at night. The campsite is environmentally friendly, located in beautiful natural surroundings, made in a traditional Bedouin way.

I am happy to invite you to explore our Bedouin life and culture as well as to enjoy our traditional food with us.

We offer tours by jeep and by camel as well as hiking and trekking, if you are interested please let us know !

With my best wishes,
Eid Hamdan
