Hello, I wish you had informed me of your concern during your stay so I could address it for you. I would have been happy to and mentioned that in my message to you. Since I've never had those complaints before, and I've never noticed anything myself, I'm not sure I believe in their accuracy from you...There are blinds to close in addition to curtains. The pretty curtains provide privacy and you are always welcome to close blinds as well, to block the light. MANY people use and travel with eye covers, including myself. They are an easy way to block out light. Regarding the smell you imagined, like I said, I don't notice anything and nobody else ever has either so I'm not sure how to explain your experience... Perhaps the smell was on your clothing? Regardless of the reality of your accusations, I would have been happy to open one of my air fresheners in the hallway for you, or open a window, or put the air on higher, if you had mentioned this to me during your stay. Instead of leaving a public review mentioning your issues that all had very easy fixes, and lowering my rating based solely on easily remedied issues, I would recommend actually communicating any issues you have to your host to ensure the best possible experience.
