We had the most wonderful time at Simpson's Seaview. Gorgeous views, very private, warm and cosy and a perfectly equipped kitchen. We will definitely stay again. We loved Bruny Island too. Many thanks to Mark and Morrell.

Simpsons Seaview is in a beautiful position. We (as two couples staying) were caught out by a policy that we didn't know existed of not moving furniture. (No one read this anywhere..) The TV is not in a user friendly position, so when we moved a couch to be relaxed and enjoy one of the movies provided, we were accused of scratching the floor. Of course we paid the requested amount of $375, but do you know seven days on, we have not received a thank you for paying this, although the bill to pay came through with 24hrs of our leaving. Both couples are owners of houses with polished wooden floors, so we took special care when moving one couch. We were surprised that this cottage (that values the condition of its aged natural floors) does not have castors under the couch legs for protection. Actually, we thought there was a castor, but it turned out to be an old water biscuit left by someone else... As this was our first stay with Air BnB, we also thought that it meant there would be provisions for breakfast. Although there were some provisions, for four people it was lacking and we had to request extras. Also, as we were keen to catch up on our clothes washing, we also had to request extra powder. Aside from these issues, Simpsons Seaview is in a lovely position overlooking the Neck at Bruny Island. We appreciated the owners dedication to their cottage, but instead of demanding damages for moving furniture, they should really consider the position of such a fundamental entertainment TV unit. And due to their busy schedules, the invitation to walk to a look out on their property was not possible on any of the 3 days we were there. So all in all, Simpsons Seaview cost us twice as much as we expected, and even though the invitation was to use the cottage as 'your home away from home', our comment is: don't, because you will have to pay. Aside from that, and being forewarned, the place is lovely.

Response from Mark & Lorrell:
Unfortunately Sue is new to the concept of AirBnB meaning she does not respect or understand the concept of being a guest in another home, or self catering. She wasn't invited to use our cottage as her 'home away from home' and it is accurately described and represented on AirBnB just as you see it now. They were oriented to the house in person and asked to let us know if they needed anything. On their last night as I was topping up the wood supply they asked for additional laundry powder and more eggs which were provided free, of course. Her main concern is being charged for damaging our timber floor when they dragged a heavy couch across it, while presuming they had the right to do this. She could have avoided disappointment by simply asking us about this first as we are right next door. Payment takes over seven days to clear from AirBnB plus processing time hence the delay in our acknowledgement of that. Nothing was demanded, there was a polite request to pay for the damage. There was someone here at all times during their stay and they did not once request a walk on our property even though this was offered on arrival. Sue is probably an individual who would do better staying in a hotel chain rather than the more trust-oriented and personalised AirBnB venues.

Beautiful, secluded location. Clean and well equipped with lovely views. Great spot for getting away from it all. Lovely hosts, who were helpful but not intrusive.

An excellent hideaway as per photos and description with helpful but unobtrusive hosts, handy to Hotel Bruny and the other attractions of the southern end of Bruny Island. Great views across the bay from front deck, great for an outdoor breakfast or dinner and a great fireplace to keep you warm at night.
