Hi Dieter, I am sorry to hear there was some problems with your stay. Firstly I would like to make clear that I was quick to offer a solution for the iron and offered to refund you the cost of purchasing one. As my listing states, this is a home from home, we live here and occasionally sublet when away. The flat has little storage space so it is difficult for me to clear our possessions entirely, but perhaps this should have been communicated better when you came to view the flat. As you know I had to leave the morning of your arrival, I’m a single working Mother so my time was extremely limited before I left and I could not afford a professional cleaner to come in and do a deep clean, so had to leave the task to a friend who I trusted would do a good job. If you found the cleanliness of the flat not to your satisfaction it would have been good to have raised this at the time and we could have come to a compromise. As for the hammock , I stored it away for the colder months, but had you asked me I would happily have told you where it was kept. The bench in the pic became unsafe so I removed it shortly before your stay, but there are many chairs and a table that could be used to enjoy outside. I shall change the picture of the terrace in the listing to reflect this next summer. As for the neighbour and the traffic, I too am a light sleeper and they bother me, but this is the nature of living in a busy Urban neighbourhood and out of my control (and why my bedroom is at the back). As such I think £40 per night for a cosy and yes slightly scruffy (I’m an artist not an estate agent) two bedroom home in a great neighbourhood with fantastic views is a steal and I enjoyed hosting you and your family.
