FOOD and FUEL

There are no shops near St Bathans, so you will need to bring your supplies with you.
So if you are coming from the Queenstown side the last opportunity to purchase food and fuel would be Alexandra. There is a small dairy and gas station in Omakau as a last resort. If you are coming from Dunedin or the East the last stop for food and fuel is Ranfurly.

Lorna and David moved to their lifestyle block in St Bathans in 2008. They reside in the main mud brick cottage on the property. In 2012, keen to share their slice of paradise, they commissioned the building of Coombes Cottage from an old mud brick garage. Lorna and David love Central Otago's wide open vistas and the uniquely rugged landscape which is sure to captivate you upon your arrival. They enjoy a predominantly outdoors lifestyle; growing their own produce, cycling on the Otago Rail Trail, or rambling around the local hills and valleys. Skiing, skating and curling are favourite winter pastimes whilst summer evenings you'll often find them down by the Blue Lake with their BBQ. Lorna enjoys cooking something special for guests using fresh local ingredients. David has a keen interest in vintage and classic car motoring and they love to spend weekends away with friends exploring the countryside.
