Well located home in lovely gardens just a short stroll from the centre of Eygalieres. All bedrooms very well airconditioned which is great during summer in Provence. The home has outdoor areas on 3 sides so you can always find the right location for eat or relax at anytime. The village is beautiful with local coffee shop and excellent bar and a good selection of restaurants in summer. Quite well located to explore around Provence - you will need a car,

Amazing and fantastic family house. Very typically French. Wonderful gardens and pool (which the kids used endlessly). The village is a few minute stroll away and has everything you could need. The town comes alive on Friday for the local market. Hosts absolutely wonderful - very welcoming. I cannot recommend this house highly enough.

What a wonderful experience as hosts to welcome Australians. "La creme de la creme " of beautiful manners, courteousness, heartfelt friendless. Please come back! All the best Katrina!

This villa was lovely in a truly Provençal way, and Sabine and her family made us feel welcome and comfortable. The villa had all we needed and then some! The pool was terrific for our children, and the location perfect for going to play soccer on a field next door, walking up to the market/dining out, and exploring the town.

Because of our own concerns in finding the right house in Provence through airbnb, I thought that I would provide a more extensive review. Also, there have not been too many reviews of this particular property, and I know that more reviews would have been helpful during my search process. First of all, this house is the real deal. It was perfect for us and it is difficult to imagine a better setting for a long stay in Provence. The house itself is very well put together and the grounds are lovely. It is situated such that you have tremendous views all around. On the south you have a straight view of the Alpilles. On the north, you can see both the church at the top of the village hill, as well as two ancient stone towers overlooking the valley. We spent nearly all of our time in the beautiful yard around the pool, as one can usually find a good shady spot even on hot days. The limestone-constructed house itself remains remarkably comfortable in the heat (it does have AC in the bedrooms if needed, which we usually did not). The yard is large and feels very private, and the owners are serious about it having three distinct seating areas/patios that are each perfect at different times of the day. While small, Eygalieres has what you need for your visit, although it is not for sightseeing per se. Much nicer for an relaxed extended visit than a larger city. The local market on Friday must attract people from all over because it is much bigger (and nicer) than a small town could otherwise support. You probably won’t spend much time in Eygalieres proper, but as is obvious from the map, this home is very centrally located for just about everything in Provence. Nearly all of the main tourist sites are 40-50 minutes away by relatively easy driving. It was very hot during our visit, so we would do an outing every morning, eat lunch at that location, and then return for a dip in the pool in the afternoon. The central location made this a perfectly reasonable thing to do. The owners are extremely nice and speak perfect English, so every interaction was beyond pleasant. They were perfectly gracious and generous. It is difficult to imagine a better set of hostesses for our visit. The terrific views come about because there is a sports field directly behind the yard. You can occasionally hear people out playing. The house itself really is a family home, which means that it has more amenities and high quality furnishings and artwork than would be found in a regular rental house. These are obviously huge pluses. It also means that not everything is perfectly pristine, but this is not a site for hotel rentals after all. We would definitely return and are extremely happy that we took the plunge and rented this lovely home for our week in Provence.

The villa is set in the most delightful village close to local shops which was invaluable with a young toddler. Well equipped and the villa had a working fireplace which we had on a few of the colder evening. Thanks for a great stay!

We spent a week in this wonderful holiday home in mid-July. It was perfect for our family (including 2 teenage girls and a 12 year old boy). It is a spacious, charming home which feels very private yet is only a few minutes walk to the village centre. The children could happily venture alone to the boulangerie, the creperie or other little shops in the gorgeous village of Eygalieres. The swimming pool is fantastic. Madame Decerle speaks excellent English which made it very easy for us when she showed us around and during our stay. We loved Eygalieres; both as a place to enjoy a holiday and as a base from which to explore Provence. Our only regret is we did not stay longer - we would return to this lovely place in a heartbeat. Merci Sabine and Madame Decerle.
