The space
We were featured in the New York Times: Living in Harmony in Bali and now in Seen Unseen: Embracing Natural home Design on Bali. Marguerite is one of 5 Flora Natural Villas, Architect Designed Natural Villa 1 and Architect Designed Natural Villa 2 and enjoys your delightful private pool that was lovingly designed with over 1000 river stones. Enjoy sleeping in one of 2 bedrooms either under the hand crafted grass roof with FAN only or nestled under the eaves downstairs with AC, & shower under the stars. Cook in the new outdoor kitchen. The pool at Marguerite is no longer shared. There are so many eco friendly design features: Low voltage lighting, heritage cement tiles, poured in place polished cement counters. The upstairs king and downstairs double have a mosquito net.

We recently decided the beautiful pool at Marguerite with. thousands of hand laid black stones would be only for the guests at Marguerite. Enjoy your private pool!

Other things to note
Our houses are specially designed to be in touch with nature and most people love the experience. In Ubud that means there are definitely geckos in every house (they eat mosquitos and according to the Balinese bring good luck) and you will hear frogs at night. We have NO AC upstairs and instead have designed for cross ventilation and have a ceiling fan. The downstairs cozy 2nd bedroom now has AC. If you are used to a standard hotel experience , Marguerite may not be for you.

Neighbourhood highlights

Our village is unique! It has no car access. Walk along a jungle path 5 minutes (or ride a rented scooter) and walk up the 40 steps to our natural villa. Using our drivers is highly recommended. They know the way and will carry your bags. Other drivers won't. We have healthy cafes and a yoga studio within a 5-minute walk. Our houses are for fit folks who want to enjoy natural off the beaten path Bali and still only 20 minutes walking to the center of town.
