Self check-in

You can check in with the building staff.
Bawley Ridge Cottage is a secluded, spacious & dog-friendly log cabin with lofty beamed ceilings, cosy living area, & luxury bathroom. 10 mins from Bawley's beaches, the cottage is on an 8 ac farm, with roaming alpacas, geese, peacocks & goats. We have lots of wood for the fire in winter, the outdoor bath is wonderful for stargazing & the (shared) swimming pool heaven on a hot day. We can also provide transport at a competitive fare to & from nearby walking trails, wedding venues & wineries.

The space
We're often booked but if so, check out the Farmhouse on the same property (same price). (https://www.airbnb.com.au/h/bawley-ridge-farmhouse). This is also great if you want to host a larger group (the Farmhouse sleeps 4).

The cottage has a queen bed but we can put in a single bed as well for a third person by special arrangement - just let us know if needed (plus we have a cot).

It has a well-equipped kitchen, a wood burning stove and fast internet, plus an outdoor bath and firepit.

We are only 10 mins from the beaches, but we now have a (shared) swimming pool which is heaven on a hot day.

We provide plenty of firewood, with an extra store on the porch we restock for you, and leave the fires ready to light, or let us know when you are 20 mins away, and we can light them for you.

Please note, fire bans apply in summer months.

The bathroom is new and spacious with a rain showerhead and lots of instant hot water.

The cottage has a large, fenced garden, ideal for dogs of any size to run around in safely off the leash. Elsewhere on the property, please keep them on the leash and make sure you can control them - dogs that have a history of aggression to other animals are not suitable.

You can charge electric vehicles from the plug on the outside of the cottage close to the gate/parking area, but please note there is a flat $10 for doing so.

As well as our peacocks, the wild birdlife around the cottage is wonderful, with everything from Black Cockatoos to Australian King Parrots to wrens and finches.

We are in the Termeil Forest on NSW South Coast close to several vineyards, like Bawley Vale and Cupitts Winery, plus there are plenty of great walking tracks as well as beaches to enjoy.

We have an orchard of citrus fruit - limes, oranges, grapefruit, lemons - which you are welcome to pick but please leave some for others 🙂

There is an ‘information for guests’ folder where you can find everything you need to know about the cottage and with more information about the surrounding area.

Other things to note
A 2 day minimum booking applies for checkins on weekends and high season.

Neighbourhood highlights

There are beaches for everyone at nearby Bawley Point - Cormorant and Gannet Beaches are good for dogs and a bit further away Sandmines Beach at Kioloa is loved by surfers. If you enjoy walking there are great trails including those at Murramarang National Park and the rainforest walk near Depot Beach (where you might spot a lyrebird). Enjoy fish and chips on the beach from the take-out at Bawley or if you like catching the fish, the fishing at the beach there is great, or try Burrill Lake where you can also get some wonderful bread and pastries from the Lagom Bakery. And don't forget Bawley Vale and Cupitts Wineries and the eateries at Milton!

We have orchards of citrus fruit - limes, oranges, grapefruit, lemons - which you are welcome to pick in harvest time (June-Sept). Our goats are very happy for you to feed them goat nuts, alpacas, geese and peacocks roam the property and we're pleased to provide our chickens' eggs and homemade bread in the welcome basket. We gather plenty of wood for the fire to keep you cosy in winter and the stargazing is wonderful.
