Marigold Gedara was designed as a spacious beach house. It suits surfers, young families and couples wanting a large private villa with pool.

We are family friendly! We provide a highchair, infant cot and the only villa on the south coast with a glass safety fence around the pool.

It's a 2min walk to the nearest cafe, The Kip. Secret Beach is a 5min walk. Some of the best surf breaks are less than 10mins away.

Our fully-equipped kitchen means you can cook or order delivery and dine at home.

The space
Please note - one of our neighbours is currently building, which means there can be noise during the day. This is common throughout Ahangama, as so much of the area is still being developed. If the noise is a problem, tell us.

This is a large 2-bedroom house with spacious garden and pool. The property is very private. The house has two AC bedrooms with ensuite, a fully functioning kitchen (gas hob, oven, microwave, filtered water tap, blender and percolated coffee pot), spacious dining and living rooms that open out to the pool. We do not have an in-house chef, but there are plenty of amazing cafes and restaurants in the neighbourhood.

A wide, wrap-around veranda adds ample living areas for dining, relaxing and socialising.
We have a high chair and cot for babies. Our four-poster beds and cot are protected with mosquito nets.
The pool has a safety fence.
The house is cleaned before and after the guests stay.

For those unfamiliar with Sri Lanka - the country often has short power cuts. The house does not have a generator, but we recommend enjoying the pool during power cuts or visiting nearby beaches and restaurants until the power returns.

Guest access
You will be renting a large private villa with garden and pool. Drive-on access at the back of the property makes parking and access comfortable. Stairs and scooter access at the front allows you to come and go easily.
No staff onsite, but the property manager is always available.

Marigold Gedara is in the premium neighbourhood of Ahangama Kanda, on Dharmarama Road.

The house has 2 Queen size beds and a daybed in the living room, which is a single bed size. We can make up this extra bed for you for a small one-off charge of $25.

I live in New Zealand with my family. Previusly, I moved Sri Lanka in 2018 for work in agri-business and soon fell in love with the place. In 2020 I started building Marigold Gedara as my dream home in Ahangama, walking distance from the nearest beach. This is a special neighbourhood, with hidden gems around every corner.
