This is my father's grandparents' house, they bought it to be near to his family and to spend their holidays in a lovely little town on the river Mastallone, and hike, pick mushrooms and ski in the mountains nearby.

We fell in love with Varallo and its manifold assets (friendly people, amazing art, architecture, nature...). Meeting Erika's father Vittorio only added to the sense of purpose as we exchanged on many a fascinating topic such as the Walser who lived in the area or elements of linguistics applied to the various tongues spoken in the north of Italy. The flat is both spacious and conveniently located. We took full advantage of the large balcony overlooking the town and felt perfectly at home as we were able to cook in a well equipped kitchen. There were fresh foods, orange juice, tea and coffee for breakfast and many other cooking basics. Staying here proved absolutely delightful and we would love to come back soon!
Erica is a wonderfull host. She did really everything to make us feel welcome. We can recommend this place to couples and travellers. Varallo is a lovely little town and we enjoyed the little beach at the river, only 5 min. walking from the appartment. Groceries and stores nearby and lots of possibilities for walking and sightseeing. We had a really nice week in the vintage appartment. The kitchen was. Ot only fully equiped but even groceries, like, pasta, olive oil, crackers were available. It was just great!
Erika and Silvia were very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. We had clear and fast communications and the apartment was in a perfect location in a delightful town. Kitchen was well stocked with basics which is always appreciated . I would highly recommend as a base for Valsesia.
