Westmont Accommodation is an exciting but quiet Tuscan villa nestled in the heart of West End, Brisbane's most vibrant and eclectic suburb. Popular with young professionals and upmarket travellers alike, Westmont is a friendly and welcoming place.

The space

Westmont is a character-filled Tuscan Villa-style building located in the very best spot in West End. You will be hard-pressed to find a better-situated guest house. Guests are mainly Australian and European working professionals. Private room with your own refrigerator, Wi-Fi, wardrobe, desk and lamp. Private bedroom in a complex of 15 bedrooms with complete electronic security.

Guest access

You will have access to your own, lockable private room. All rooms come with comfortable beds and well-maintained appliances such as fridge, fans, desks, lamp and Wi-Fi. There are multiple large indoor and outdoor common areas such as kitchen and dining room, bathrooms, lounge and outdoor courtyards and verandas with superb city views. There are common-use bathroom facilities and a coin-operated laundry.

Interaction with guests

I live on the premises and while I allow guests their privacy, I'm always on hand to help out in any way.

Other things to note

While Westmont is a friendly and accommodating establishment, it is important to note that this is professional guesthouse as opposed to a private residence.

This place is very nice and Clarry was the perfect host. We really enjoyed our stay here. The house is near the city by bus or bike and west end is a lovely suburb

Tyler and I love staying at Westmont! Clarry has done an amazing job creating a living space with fun, respectful, international housemates. The location is perfect, and there are great bars and restaurants and bus stops within a two minute walk from the front door. We've been here two weeks and we've already been included in two great get-togethers with Clarry, the housemates, and Bruno the dog. Clarry has fantastic tips on the best spots to visit in Brisbane, and he's such a friendly, positive, generous, supportive person. We look forward to continuing our stay! :)

The West End guest house is something of a beauty. It's a large establishment with 15 bedrooms, 5 baths, 5 toilets, 3 outdoor patios, plus 2 balconies one of which is attached to the upstairs room I was staying in for 11 weeks. My room was fully furnished with an airconditioner, which proved to be essential during the hot summer months in Brisbane. The kitchen was well equipped with gas-burning stoves (big bonus for those of you into cooking). The common areas are regularly cleaned and well-maintained overall. The only complaint (minor one at that) would be the laundry facility. Washer is by coin operation - $5.00 per wash. Dryer is the sun. There were times when I hung out my freshly washed clothes to dry and Brisbane decides to have a rapid-onset heavy shower, which is not ideal. But other than this, the house is absolutely lovely. Perhaps what makes this accommodation such a brilliant experience is the host Clarry himself. He is welcoming, kind, generous, helpful and heaps of fun to grab a drink/chat with. When I first got to Brisbane, I didn't have transportation sorted out just yet. And he offered me his Vesper to get around town getting my bearings. Once every couple of weeks he would throw a party on his private porch for the house guests with enough food to supply an army, and sometimes with the BBQ going even, which were always good times! Last but not least, the location of the accommodation right in the heart of West End was so key. Everything was conveniently located within walking distance - coles, chemist, restaurants of all ethnicity, cafes, bars - you name it, you get it. The entire time I was hosted by Clarry, I was treated with respect and I am glad to not just know Clarry as a landlord, but to call him a friend. Defintely coming to visit you the next time I'm in town Clarry! Oh, and you Bruno - the friendliest resident canine.

Thank you so much for your kind words, Ernuo. You were great!!! I am sure you will have an extremely successful career in medicine. You have prompted me to acquire a dryer especially for those times when the sun doesn't shine. Cheers, Clarry

I am an ex-teacher and theatre producer who has been running hostel accommodation in Brisbane for many years. Like most people who stay with me, I too have traveled extensively, and so have a fair idea what our guests will expect. My number one belief is that if you put young (and not so young) people from many countries and walks of life under one roof, only good things will follow.
