Newly renovated kitchen and living room, Blue Poles is absolute beach frontage with views from Goolwa to Granite Island. Our modern 2 story, light and airy, open-plan home, has two living areas, great for 1 or 2 families, and comfortably sleeps 10-12. Watch the sun rise or set from either of the two protected balconies as you relax with a book or glass of wine. The beds are made up with fresh linen and quilts, and bath towels are supplied. Everything is ready for you to arrive, relax and enjoy.

The space
This modern, light, bright, freshly renovated is an open-plan two story residence that offers plenty of space for friends or families, with two queen bedrooms up stairs, one with walk in robe and en-suite. Downstairs there's a room with two single beds which can be converted into a king size bed with notice, and a bunk room with another four beds plus a separate entertaining space that the kids will love. If needed, there's also a flip-out couch with bedding stored in the bunk room.
There's a 65 inch flat screen TV upstairs in the lounge with Chrome Cast to watch Netflix or similar and high speed NBN internet. Down stairs another 50 inch TV also with Chome cast and the children can be kept active and entertained with table tennis, and fooze ball. There's also plenty of board games, jigsaws and DVDs to while away the hours.
With two decks you can be sure to relax and enjoy the captivating views either over the ocean or the green rolling hills behind.
When you return from the beach there is an outdoor shower on the beach side of the house to wash off the sand and inside there are thee more bathrooms.
The kitchen is fully equipped and also includes a coffee machine with fresh coffee, filtered water Puratap, and a good selection of teas and condiments to spice up your cooking as well as USB charging power points, so charging your devices wont be an issue. There's also a new gas BBQ on the deck.
There is a lockable double garage with a table tennis table, darts, kites, pétanque as well as a couple of bikes for your use, some boogie boards, and a big box of pavement chalk to encourage your artistic endeavours outdoors.

Guest access
The guest has access to lots of extras, bikes, wetsuits, kites, boogie boards, table tennis, fooze ball, petanque, games, puzzles, darts and lots more.
There is also a private front and back yard and garden, utilising recycled water and a short path though the dunes to the beach.

Other things to note
The house has basic supplies of flour, sugar, rice, oil, condiments, spices, teas and a coffee machine with great coffee. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you could possibly need for preparing your feast at home. If you do run something out however, please replace it so that the next guests have the same convenience as you.
It would be great if you could put out the bins on Tuesday night or before your departure, so the Council can empty them on Wednesday morning...sadly they only alternate the bins fortnightly but better to be safe than sorry.
We have a brand new barbecue for your use on the deck, and we would appreciate it if you could leave it clean (like you found it) after you use it, the same as we would hope that you would leave the house pretty much as it was on your arrival as this is the way AIRBNB works.
Please bring in the umbrella and cushions off the hills facing deck if you are not using them as a strong gust of wind can send them towards Goolwa.
Pets only allowed upon approval.
We have a guest book that has manuals, passwords etc and should be able to answer any questions you may have, but if not we are just a phone call away.

Location

Hayborough, South Australia, Australia

Blue Poles is a great spot to view the whales as they cruise along the South Coast each winter. It’s only only a short walk across the dunes and railway line to the beach, and the Chiton Rocks Surf Life Saving Club (where shortly there will be wine and dining options available). Bike and walking trails pass right in front of the house.
The location is quiet as it is situated on a "no through road" and only 100 metres from the driveway is the wetlands and boardwalk to Watson's Gap that leads you to a creek-side boardwalk with the surf booming beyond. You can easily walk or bike ride to both Victor Harbor or Port Elliot for a coffee or alternatively you could head down to "Dump" beach or Chiton Rocks with your boogie board for a swim or a surf.

I'm from the Adelaide Hills in Australia and love to travel. I especially love meeting new people from around the world and have lived and volunteered on community projects in quite a few locations to date. I love creating (and eating) interesting and delicious food...the spicier the better, sampling fabulous South Australian wines and enjoying the laughter and company and of friends.
