The space
A simple, pared back space, thoughtfully designed to ensure you have everything you need and nothing you don't. Ligo offers a cozy and well-appointed tiny house escape in the beautiful Wolgan Valley region.

Leave behind your laptop, your phone and your deadlines. You will find no wi-fi, television or mobile phone reception here. Relish only the silence and the beauty of your surroundings.
You will stay cozy inside with passive heating and cooling, lofted ceilings, insulated flooring and expansive double glazed windows.
Here, you'll have access to over 100 acres of natural bushland and riverfront. Wander along peaceful trails beneath the dappled light of the bushland canopy, or follow the riverbank as it winds through the landscape. Native scrub and ridgelines rise gently around you, with glimpses of the escarpment appearing between the trees. Unwind, take in the expansive views, and let nature set the pace. As night falls, soak under the stars in the outdoor bath or gather around the fire pit to enjoy the Milky Way on crisp, clear evenings
While the main residence is approximately 100 metres away, Ligo has been thoughtfully positioned and tucked into the landscape and surrounding bush to ensure your complete privacy and sense of seclusion.

Following the November 2022 Wolgan Road landslide, the usual road into the Wolgan Valley via the Wolgan Gap has closed permanently. A temporary access road has been constructed, which is very steep and is currently restricted by Council to residents and business - 4WD vehicles only.
For guests booked at Ligo, we have arranged for offsite secure parking for your vehicle during your stay. We will contact you prior to your arrival to arrange to transfer you to and from your accommodation using our 4WD vehicle. There are options available for those with 4WD experience to drive their own 4WD vehicle in to 'Ligo' under escort. Please contact us to discuss this prior to booking.

Ligo contains a kitchenette including a mini fridge, microwave and portable induction stove. You will have access to cooking, tea and coffee equipment (French press and stove top espresso maker) as well as filtered drinking water on tap. We also supply essentials like ground coffee, organic tea, olive oil, salt, and pepper.
**IMPORTANT NOTE: Please note that this is a self-catered retreat with no opportunities to purchase food. With access in and out of the Valley limited at the moment, we strongly recommend that you purchase groceries in Lithgow or Wallerawang before you arrive.
The bathroom follows ecologically sustainable principles, including a waterless and odourless eco-friendly compost toilet, hand basin, and rainfall shower (gas heated for hot showers), with all water sourced from our rainwater tanks. We utilise natural resources and processes as much as possible to ensure we have a minimal impact on the environment.
Other things to note
-Wifi and mobile reception is unavailable. Guests are permitted to access our satellite internet service in emergencies only.
-Due to current access restrictions, check in time is only available between 3PM to 6PM.
-Access into and out of Wolgan Valley is via a locked gate and only accessible to residents as well as confirmed guests via 4WD transfer or escort.
-Additional transfers during your stay will only be made available between 10am and 6pm and need to be arranged prior to your stay. Additional transfers are booked separately and are subject to additional transfer fees on site. Arrival and departure transfers are complimentary.
-Only booked guests may attend the property. This extends to infants and children. We do not allow parties or gatherings. Please respect the quiet enjoyment and privacy of other guests.
-Smoking, vaping or e-cigarettes inside the tiny house are strictly prohibited. You may smoke outside, but please fully extinguish and dispose of butts in the bin provided. Please note that our bushland is prone to bushfire.
-We cannot allow pets, because we are surrounded by national park, and native wildlife call the property home.
-Campfires are allowed in our fire pit only. A limited selection of timber for the fire pit is supplied on a complimentary basis. Guests may collect kindling and small pieces of fallen timber on the ground. You are welcome to bring your own timber if you plan to use the fire pit extensively.
-In no circumstances are any fires to be lit during fire bans.
-Food scraps and rubbish must be securely discarded in the bins provided. Food or rubbish left outside will attract animals including foxes, bush rats and snakes.
- Due to the property's bushland setting, you may encounter inconveniences such as insects and native animals during your stay. We have insect screens to prevent insects from entering theTiny House. We recommend that guests keep the main doors or screens closed at all times.
- Travel Tip: We recommend packing with soft duffle bags or similar instead of hard luggage cases — they’re easier to store and make the most of the cozy space!
