This is the best option in DC. Cheap bunks & opportunities to meet other traveling students.
Basic bunks in shared rooms. Spaces are small, but suitable for the student/intern/backpacker. Prices are low, so don't expect all the bells and whistles. Linens provided upon request, 24-hr entry via electronic code.
Must verify out-of-area student/intern status.

I can't host working professionals or locals.
I love hosting traveling students, work & travel participants, and interns.

An ok place to rest your head however no curtains on the bedroom window and I apparently got another dorm room that looked nothing like the picture

The rooms are shared rooms and don't have curtains because of allergy issues with some guests. Blinds are in place on front windows and rear bedroom faces the woods. The room pictured is the lower level room. The beds are the same in both upper level rooms and the lower level. The only beds that are different are the triple bunks on the main level. They are for overflow guests and are rarely assigned. Nightly rates in DC are around $150 for hotels and $40-80 per night for Airbnb. At $15-20 per night for our listing which includes wi-fi, linens, free laundry use, and full kitchen, I'm not really sure Connor had much to complain about. As a matter of fact, he never complained until he wrote his review, lol. Either way, he's right. His room faced the woods, had no window treatments, and did not look identical to the room pictured. My listings are basic listings for budget minded students, interns, and international travelers.

I can't say that the place is worth the money that I saved........ It's far from public transportation access and the neighbourhood is seems sketchy during the night. If you are a girl traveling solo, don't stay here. Find somewhere else to rest in comfort and peace of mind.

We have been hosting international students including single females since 2012 w/o incident. However, if you are afraid of middle class Black neighborhoods, please choose another listing. In fact, you may want to skip Washington, DC all together.

Overall it was a good one. The price is very cheap so don't be picky. I would say the cleanness might be the biggest issue because there were other roommates and just not very focused on their hygiene problem, but the liner and pillow was pretty clean tho. Uber/Lyft would be the …

I was fairly happy with my stay but don't expect the luxuries of a private room. Its basically a residential house converted to a hostel. There are lots of bunks in the rooms and not a lot of bathrooms (basically one bathroom + one in the basement). My biggest issues was it was a…
