Wide open spaces, fresh air and no crowds. Transport yourself to a Hansel and Gretel style cottage in a forest on an island where you can see wildlife up close in their natural environment. Only 4 hours from Melbourne. We are very sorry pets are not permitted here.

The space
Self-contained Tudor cottages were built about 38 years ago by a German craftsman and feature many unique features such as handmade headlight windows, handmade wrought iron light fittings and German tiles and original wallpapers. Note: small bathroom with small shower, toilet and basin is downstairs and bedrooms upstairs. The new compact kitchen has a 220L size fridge/freezer, convection oven and ceramic cooktop. We have installed a state of the art water filtration system to discourage guests bringing plastic water bottles as we work toward zero waste.

Guest access
The Garden Cottage caters for 4 and the Beach Cottage, 5 people. The two cottages are interconnecting to cater for larger groups. We have a lovely hexagonal Gazebo, ideal for meditation, reading or to enjoy the outside from a cosy space. There is full size gas BBQ. Absolute water frontage, 10 acre garden and natural bush flowing to the beach and lake. Secluded off a beautiful long winding driveway. Public jetty berth. Bushwalkers/birdwatchers paradise. Kayaks and bikes are provided free to use responsibly. We recommend you bring mosquito repellant.
