Daphne was great at replying and the place was just as described. Perfect for a quiet getaway. She had also left some treats for our dogs which was a friendly touch. We may well be back some time in the future. A lovely, quirky place to stay.

We loved our stay at Daphne's. It was the perfect antidote to Christmas, quiet and calm. Expect a proper cottage with a few quirks, not something that has been tarted up to Farrow and Ball perfection. You can find that anywhere. We'd love to stay again.

Lovely, characterful old place in a beautiful area. Very cosy. Big comfy bed in a bright attic room. Daphne made us feel very welcome and then left us to the peace and quiet. Great area to listen to owls, watch bats and see the stars.

Just curiosity Julian, did you find the bats?? I forgot to tell you, when I first came here there were very tiny bats that use to appear in the house scaring me to death..., and I use to call my neighbour to save me!!! Did you find any, do you particularly like bats?? Just curious Love Daphne
