Even for the first time, there is an old private house with a nostalgic fireplace. There are sightseeing spots such as a wife's cage, a horse cage etc. It is also recommended as a base for mountain stream fishing.Although there is no bath, there is a hot spring nearby.

初めてでも何処か懐かしい囲炉裏のある古民家。近くに妻籠、馬籠などの観光地があります。渓流釣りの拠点としてもお勧めです。お風呂はありませんが近くに温泉があります。

We only stayed one night but had a great time all the same. The farmhouse was perfect for our family of five. Miwa's parents were very welcoming and helpful. Miwa's mother cooked us a fantastic meal including a vegetarian option for my wife. Highly recommended.

Thanks for a very comfortable stay for our family of 5. Whilst not quite cold enough to start the traditional fire place it looked fantastic. We had a very comfortable stay in the large traditional house. We drove and easily visited the magome tsumage walk. It was a little wet and the local onsen was a great place to clean and warm up. Thanks for our stay.

This was a truely enjoyable stay that I will always remember and Miwa's parents were excellent hosts. The house is very traditional and you are guaranteed of an authentic experience by visiting this small town and staying in this house. We arrived by train and spent one of our days just walking around. The scenery is breathtaking. There are two places to eat however the Japanese noodle place is not reliable for opening hours and was not open even when it was supposed to be. The convenience store is very close and has prepared meals and supplies or there is a Chinese noodle place that was fine too. Also a great little coffee shop in the middle of town too that is open in the day time only and good for breakfast. Tip - there are virtually no street lights and if you arrive at night make sure you know where you are going. Also a torch is handy if you are planning on being out after dark.

They are such great hosts, even picking us up from the station because it was raining! The house has everything you need and is comfortable. We had the breakfast offered at additional price and it was so delicious! A great stay in a beautiful quiet town. Good if you want a place to stay after walking in Tsumago or Magome.

Miwa's house was our favourite place to stay in Japan. In the heart of the Kiso Valley and accessible to the local train station (Nojiri). We used Miwa's house to access Magome and Tsumago for tree days of hiking the Nakasendo Way. Miwa's mother was our host and was amazingly polite and helpful. She gave us the option to have our meals prepared. We are both vegetarian and were given some of the best Japanese food found anywhere on our amazing food odyssey of Japan! Excellent memories and highly recommended for your trip to Kiso Valley!

Hello. My name is Miwa. I grew up at Kiso, a small village in Nagano. This place is surrunded by mountains. I love the fresh air, cool water and the beautiful nature. I also like traveling, cooking and communicating with people. I traveled to some European countries, most of the Asian countries and a few places in America.
I live in Saitama prefecture now. So my parents take care of this japanease traditional house.
Hope many people visit my hometown and enjoy staying there!!
