Absolutely cannot fault anything about this place. Jane was a delight, very prompt at replying to any queries we had and was extremely hospitable to both my girlfriend and I. The cottage itself is stunning, with the most amazing views across the Peaks. The interior kept its original charm whilst also being super cosy and comfortable. The cottage is very secluded and perfect for a couples weekend retreat. There were a number of pubs nearby with lovely food, and plenty of walks in the area to stretch our legs and enjoy the beautiful setting. We really couldn't have asked for a better place to spend our weekend getaway, thank you very much for having us Jane!

What a beautiful little cottage!! So sweet and charming! Loved staying there. Was very comfortable and had a great kitchen which was handy. Everything was clean and comfortable! We were out mostly all day seeing the sights so we're unable to meet Jane but she communicated very well with us through email. Would stay here again any day!

Jane made me feel welcome from the moment she met me in the driveway. The cottage was perfect and the (full) cake tin was a wonderful surprise. This was fantastic accommodation in idillic rural setting. Just what I was hoping for. Thanks Jane, for a great stay.

A very warm welcome and a beautiful cottage to match, this little hide away did not disappoint. Add some homemade biscuits it was perfect. Attention to detail with everything one might possibly need, spanning from the basic cook to elaborate dinning everything was catered for. Nespresso machine a massive highlight, with open fire for entertainment and rolling hills as the backdrop this place is just what was needed to get away from it all with the added bonus of luxury.

A wonderfully cosy little place full of extra special touches that really make you feel at home. Jane really makes an effort to ensure you have a comfortable stay, and the cottage is equipped with everything you could possibly need. The beautiful village of Hartington is only a 5 minute drive away with a couple of great pubs, local shops and a great cheese shop! Thanks for a great weekend Jane

Fantastic location for exploring the surrounding countryside. Lovely accommodation. Highlights were the cosy fire and the sheep peering through the window of a morning. The cottage is beautifully appointed with everything you need. We would advise going shopping for provisions before you arrive as after a day walking the picturesque countryside, with the fire roaring we struggled to drag ourselves out of an evening!!!

So pleased you had a good weekend and that my sheep kept you amused - my children think I have gone mad buying rare breed sheep but they keep me amused as well! The wood-burning fire is a great addition especially as the evenings are getting chillier now. It was nice to meet you both. Jane

Absolutely lovely little cottage. The perfect breakaway, ideal as a base for exploring the dales or equally as good as a place to stay in all day. Clean and tidy and well equipped. We will certainly be back next time we are in the Peak District.

So pleased you enjoyed your few days staying at Cheese Press Cottage and it was nice to meet you both. I hope you can return to Derbyshire in the future and come back and stay with us - maybe try one of the other cottages - The Old Farrowings or Courtyard Creamery. Jane
