A four season house by the Golden Circle, 100 km from Reykjavik. Can accommodate up to 8 persons in beds, space for more on floors. Ideal location for numerous day trips in south Iceland. Various activities within close range, depending on season.
We finished building our house in 2010. It was built as our country home, to be increasingly used as our home when our working hours in Reykjavik became fewer, in addition to serving as a studio for Abba. There are three bedrooms, each with beds for two . Extra bedding can be provided on a sleep couch in the living room (130x170 cm), suitable for grown children. On request, floor space allows for more guests sleeping on matresses on the floor.
The whole house with exception of the studio.
Interaction with guests
Our permanent residence is in Reykjavík but we are readily available by cell phone or e-mail. We are happy to provide you with tips about interesting trips and other activity on request.
Pets not allowed. Smoking not permitted inside the house.
I am a biologist, graphic designer and painter. I lived in the U.S and Sweden before returning to my native Iceland. I am married to a physician and we have raised four children. We built the house in 2008-2010 as our country home and my studio, which is the only part of the house not for lending.
