l'Etable is a renovated stone cottage for two that has panoramic views. It is is set in the heart of a small village in profound rural France.

It is equiped with wifi, satellite TV and DVD, washing machine, dish washer and linen.

You will find a table tennis table as well as the swimming pool in ample cascading gardens.

As well as the kitchen, there is a barbecue and a good selection of restaurants in the local market town, Cajarc.

The space

L'Etable is 50 meters sq with a bedroom for two people above the living area accessed by a spiral staircase. The living area and kitchen make one large room as seen in the photo. There is a sofa bed in the living area and a travel cot and high chair can be provided on request. Although it is advised that babies and not toddlers are suitable for this property as the swimming pool is not fenced off.

Guest access

Guests have their own private off road parking and entrance. Please consult (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) map for directions.

Interaction with guests

The owners live in one of the nearby renovated stone houses so can respond to your questions promptly.

Other things to note

Currently, the swimming pool is shared between two short term let houses - the Grange (sleeps 6/7) and L'Etable (sleeps 2). It is 15 meters in length and 1.5 meters in depth. It is open June to October and can be open in May if the weather is good. The owners are flexible and if the renters would like more certainty that the pool will be warm enough in May, a small fee is asked to cover the heating cost.

The pool does have a security cover and there is a fenced off garden around the Grange only.

A spa is being finished at the moment (august 2016), and also 2 chambre d'hote bedrooms above. Both these facilities should be available for April 2017.

Emma and Hamish were superb hosts. Genuinely warm and thoughtful and full of information about the rental cottage and the surrounding areas. The cottage has free off road parking and the walk from the car to the infinity pool and the endless horizon of beautiful French countryside is truly amazing. The cottage is a delightful mix of traditional beautifully rendered stone walls and beams with all mod cons blended perfectly to create a traditional French feel with modern conveniences. The bedroom is delightful and despite being quite large (with plenty of storage) and lots of natural light still feels cosy. The shower room is lovely with the original stable door leading into a large room with toilet, sink, heated towel rail/with and a fabulous x large shower cubicle with a pebbled floor. Puyjourdes is a small charming village perfectly located to investigate the Lot region and further. We have stayed in several places in France over the last 10 years and this property tops our list as No 1.

Absolutely perfect. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Emma and Hamish were friendly and helpful and the gite itself was fabulous with everything provided for comfort. The swimming pool is quite large and the view from our cottage and the pool - deck was stunning. Paradise, we were sad to leave.
