Interaction with guests
We have an electronic keypad on the door, on your day of arrival, when the unit is clean and ready to go, we will text you an access code. This way you can check in when it suits you. We are always contactable on our business phone number that diverts to our mobile that you are supplied after contacting us. We live off site, but can always call in if you need anything during your stay.
Other things to note
We are located in a quiet residential street, but there is a train line close by, and some train noise is associated with that. Most guests don't mind. We don't supply any food (except for tea and coffee facilities) but with cooking facilities, it's easy to organise your own - especially with Woolworths and Coles only a 3 min drive away.
Pricing: Fri/Sat nights are $10 per night extra. School Holidays & public holiday weekends $10 per night extra. Prices include 2 people, with extra people aged 5 years and older $10 per night each.
Unfortunately our property isn't suitable for pets.
We ask for you to respect the neighbours, noise to be considerate of others, and to adhere to quiet after 10pm. No parties, no smoking inside. We ask that you do your dishes and leave the unit tidy. Despite the rules, we want you to really enjoy your stay, if you have a special request, don't hesitate to ask and we'll see what we can do.
My wife Kristyn and I have been running Serenity Bed & Coffee since February 2006. We started the business to provide hospital patient families an economical self catering option while their loved ones are in hospital. The business evolved and we now meet people who visit Newcastle for lots of different reasons, people visiting family and people here for work reasons. We enjoy meeting different people, and feel we are giving people economical self catering accommodation.
Both Kristyn and I work as well as running the business and we have 3 lovely children. We really value the fact that Serenity Bed & Coffee is a family owned business.
