The house was spacious and accessible to all of downtown DC. If you do not want to pay the ridiculous prices of the houses and apartments in the heart of the city -- but you still want to be nearby -- this is the place for you and your group. The amenities were all there, inclu…

Dennis' place was perfect for our group, we were in town for a baseball game at Nats stadium and this place couldn't be closer! The location is great in that regards, it is in an area of 'lower income housing' which may make some uncomfortable although the neighbors were friendly…

Thanks for coming Alex. The dishwasher works but its only used for those that rent the whole house(since folks would just not wash their dishes). The liner is changed every 2 weeks so you must have seen it at the tail end of the 2nd week. I am glad that you had fun at the game.

The place is in a questionable neighborhood, lots of rentals / section 8 housing, but the area is apparently getting better. The bathroom downstairs is in the same room as the washer / dryer, but the dryer vents to open air, so everything is covered with lint, including the elec…

Thomas thanks for staying. Unfortunately yes you are correct many of the old houses around here were not equipped with a hose for the dryer and the vent is in the bathroom unfortunately that is the norm around here. SW will be the new U Street, since the new stadium and waterfront are in the final stages of completion. I regularly check the hotels in my neighborhood and while you paid $60 for your room the Hampton was around $350 since the Yankees were in town. I just do not see how a hotel room is chaper than what I offer. Not to mention the very slow internet and no free parking, not to mention things like kitchen, laundry, dryer, etc.

Dennis is very responsive to contact, however the space left a lot to be desired. Based on the rules I expected a very clean space and was disappointed. The trash was 1/2 full upon arrival, linens in the dryer, the bathroom shower had mold, and the kitchen had crumbs on the count…

Magan thanks for staying but I think your review is a little biased. Your friend checked in before you and I gave her a tour personally with a house that was completely clean with no trash anywhere, no crumbs, etc. . You came in on the 2nd day of your reservation and even sent me a message as to why your room was dirty even though someone from your party slept in your room, and later told me that everything was OK. It seems that you saw the house after the people from your party had used the kitchen and your room. I have never ever been harassed in the 10 years I have lived in this neighborhood, and none of my 1000+ guests have either(especially any of my neighbors, as I know a lot of my neighbors personally). SW is a family neighborhood and nobody has ever been in danger during that time. Also I have a smoke detector but you have probably missed it, its on the wall next to the fridge.

This place was large enough to host our group. The location was closer than we realized to the downtown and the 74 bus stops on the corner making it easy to get to the Mall and Chinatown. Would recommend this place to other large groups.

We had a great time. The house was very convenient. We used the bus to get to the National Mall and it was very easy. The 74 picked up right on the corner and took us to most of the places we had planned to visit. The house had enough room for all 9 of us. Great stay.
