Lune, lunawuni is a secluded, eco-friendly cabin set on 2 acres of private waterfront bushland.

Overlooking the d’Entrecasteaux Channel, with views of Hartz Mountains National Park, and with direct access to the waters edge of Sheepwash Bay, the property offers guests an intimate, nature immersed escape, with comfort in mind.

Lune owners Sarah and Olly acknowledge the Nununi people, Traditional Owners of the land on which the cabin stands, and pay respects to Elders past and present.

The space
The cosy cabin is set over one level, with all you need to relax and immerse yourself here at arm’s reach. Designed with the environment in mind, Lune is eco living at its finest. We aim to provide sustainable comfort that doesn’t cost the earth, and you will find many examples of low-impact living throughout the property.

A generous, cloud-topped king size bed is adorned in luxury French flax linen, ready for rest while admiring the views across the water and mountains beyond.

An intimate dining nook catches morning sun and evening sunsets through beautiful antique cedar windows.

A cosy loveseat perches next to the indoor fire and an original mid-century radiogram complete with record player and bluetooth are ready for your listening pleasure.

The kitchen is compact and practical, and complete with all modern conveniences. Gas-top cooking and electric oven, quality cook ware and appliances, and a coffee machine for your morning brew, are all waiting for you to cook up a storm with lutrawita/Tasmania’s finest ingredients. A carefully selected collection of vintage studio and local pottery makes feasting and snacking a memorable experience.

The cabin is serviced by filtered, natural rainwater and heated with an efficient wood heater, set and ready on your arrival. The bathroom houses a shower with rainwater shower head, earth-friendly skincare/hygiene products, and a heated towel rail for your comfort. There is a composting ‘Natureloo’ toilet, allowing us to maintain an ultra low impact on the planet.

Nature surrounds you here.

Wake up to birdsong and the gentle lapping of the shoreline.

Follow your heart through the bush down to the waters edge to fossick between the tides, and watch the sunset over Hartz Peak.

Sit and watch the stars by the warmth of the outdoor fire.
