This beautiful apartment in Como's old city was just wonderful. Great location - close to the waterfront for boat trips on the lake, close to the amazing Duomo and close to restaurants and cafes. The apartment is spacious and Jennifer communicated with us efficiently and promptly in the lead up to and during our stay. Added touches such as Proseco in the fridge on our arrival along with little snacks and tea and coffee supplied made the stay extra special. There were also comprehensive notes on things to see and do left for us. If arriving by car, parking is a little challenging - you need to park outside the old city and walk in and pay for metered parking during the day but Jennifer explained this to us and advised us the best place to park. The apartment is on the top floor but there is a lift if required. All in all a great place to spend time while in Como. Thank you.

This is a great place to stay as it is so central and close to all the action. The apartment is charming and very clean. Perhaps if you were to stay longer than a couple of days you may need a kitchen but we found it ok as we were only there one night. We would have loved to have stayed longer. Jennifer was a very patient and helpful host.

What a lovely stay in beautiful Como. The apartment is gorgeous, beautifully furnished and comfortable, exactly as you see in the photos. This is the best central location to explore the town, surrounded by restaurants and fantastic shopping. Probably the best Airbnb of our trip to Italy, wish we could have stayed longer.

Como is a great place to visit and the apartment has a historical charm. Jennifer is there for anything that you need. We were able to keep our bags downstairs until our afternoon train which was a great help.

Living and loving Como We decided we wanted to immerse ourselves in the Italian way of life whilst staying in Lake Como. We opted for accommodation in the old town of Como for 7 nights and what a good decision that turned out to be. Firstly we opted for a cosy flat that was part of a 17th Century Royal family’s villa in the heart of the old city. The lovely Jennifer managed the flat, which is one of the great benefits of getting out of the trap of always staying in hotels. Jennifer was in regular contact with us as we closed in on our arrival, she was at the door when we arrived after a 5-minute (15 euro) taxi trip from the station. She took us into the flat, showed us how everything worked, gave us the lowdown on the must see and do’s and gave us her contact for help with any issues as they arise. The flat was right in the heart of the old town which meant we were able to walk to all the shops, restaurants and we stumbled across some amazing entertainment such as a man playing the theme from Game of Thrones on bottles strategically filled to produce pitch perfect notes. We were within a 5-minute walk from the boat terminal, the markets, the funicular (must do) and so many bakeries, restaurants and clothing shops I lost count. Jennifer even offered us a Garage to park our hire car on the last three days before we left for Venice at a very reasonable price. Jennifer’s parting gift was to recommend the town of Lucca as a must visit near Pisa further down the road, which we did, and it was a great treat too. The flat was cosy but fine for two adults and two teenage children and was a very authentic atmosphere with a sprinkling of modern cons like Internet, TV and a nice shower and bath. We loved Como so much I am now trawling the Internet for a property to purchase so we can visit time and time again. Thanks Jennifer and thanks Como we love you both. Dr. Brian
