Brilliant position backing on to the canal allowing for quick and easy access for off road cycling and walking the area without going anywhere near a road! Location is also walking distance to a pub with food and a local store. The furniture is a bit tired but that can be seen fr…

Dot’s house is in a great location backing onto the lovely Brecon Canal, in a peaceful Valley. On arrival we immediately found that the bathroom was not clean. We contacted Dot who stated, “I must agree the grubby nature of the bathroom is completely unacceptable”. We were then …

Response from Dot:
I'm so sorry that our home in Wales did not live up to your expectations. My husband and I had showers there only a few days before you arrived. We left it clean. You only booked it the weekend before and we came over to prepare it for you. Clean linen and towels were supplied in all the four bedrooms and all floors were cleaned by ourselves. You said you found crisps in the lounge which again I didn't understand. We didn't have any crisps in the house when we were there and as I said we vacuumed throughout a few days before you arrived. This is the first time in four years of hosting at Underhill Farm that anyone has given us a negative review. My husband mowed the grass front and back in the week before you arrived. He did not see any wasps' nests. You seem to have taken exception to our security cameras that have been recently installed - recommended as it is a house on its own, and should there be any bother we might have some evidence. In fact, we have not looked at the pictures either during or since your visit as there was no cause. You went round the house taking pictures of every little thing that didn't please you including the 'used soap' in the soap dish in the back toilet. You didn't take a photo of the M&S liquid soap and hand cream supplied in both the main bathroom and the back 'utility' toilet. I hope you and your family find a property more to your liking for your next trip. Regards Dot (Website hidden by Airbnb)

A great space for a 'base camp' for 4 adults spending 4 days walking through the Usk Valley. Ticked a lot of boxes - useful 'boot room' for drying wet clothes, well stocked kitchen, plenty of space to cook and to sit down to eat. More than enough sofas and beds!
