The space
Drift was born from memorable beach holidays with my sister and our families on the NSW South Coast. From the moment you arrive, the salty air and sound of the ocean will welcome you, and the sleepy bushy surroundings cushion you from the busyness of life.
Its whimsical, coastal interior celebrates the natural environment and open spaces embrace the light and conjure up memories of long, hot summer days at the beach, it's a place where you can unwind in style and comfort.
After a day at the beach, we know how important a good night's sleep is, so we provide quality French linen sheets that are a dream to sleep in, and each double room is fitted with ceiling fans and block out blinds. We also provide soft towels for absolute comfort, along with al.ive products in the bathrooms to indulge your senses.
There’s no need to pack an enormous bag of linen and toiletries, simply bring your beach towels.
Drift's beautiful, well-equipped kitchen features an Ilve freestanding induction cooker, dishwasher, and all the pantry basics needed to create delicious home cooked meals. On weekends, you can buy freshly caught fish from the local providore.
Grab a towel and take a short walk to the beach or make yourself a cocktail and gaze at the ocean from the verandah. Beach holidays don’t get much better than this!
Guest access
Drift can comfortably cater for up to 10 guests. Each of the three upstairs bedrooms caters for a maximum of two with queen sized beds and a fourth bedroom downstairs has two sets of king single bunk beds to cater for a larger group.
A pool table downstairs in the rec room provides a perfect teenager hangout and plenty of options for a group to have space to spread out keeping upstairs a serene restful space. There's also an outdoor projector for a cinema experience under the stars.
You will have the entire house to yourselves, but ask that you please stay in the same bedroom if your group size does not require all rooms.
The house can be accessed via a secure key safe. We will give you the code prior to your arrival.
There is ample off-street parking in the driveway and at the front of the house.
Please, no parties, gatherings, events or ceremonies.
Other things to note
Manyana is separated from the highway by a 15 min drive through the bush, far enough to provide you with the feeling of getting away from it all.
If you feel the need to browse beautiful shops, have a special meal out, or visit a local winery, there is plenty of options to tempt you. A short country drive means you are only 20 minutes away from historic Milton and the surrounding towns.
For additional kitchen supplies, there is a small general store and cafe at Bendalong and another cafe at Cunjurong Point that sells basic supplies and some frozen meals, both about a 5 min drive, however, we recommend bringing your own or arrange to have them delivered in time for your arrival.
In keeping with the 1970's heritage of the house, we have a rec room downstairs, complete with a pool table and large screen TV and split system aircon. While upstairs, we have kept screen-free which is a perfect place to rest and rejuvenate and another split system aircon for your comfort.
The three queen rooms upstairs will be made up ready for you to flop straight in. The bunk beds in the fourth room have lush linen sheets and doonas folded on the bed available for use.
