The space

We have a few stilt bungalows on the lagoon of klong prao in koh Chang, with or without aircon, also on the garden around the pond. For the people who like nature and who want to discover the thai way of living, the beach is 50M from home.

About the area
The bungallow is located in the Blue lagoon project area. Playground for kids, volleyball, petank, permaculture garden, home made soap and wash dishes, fusion and creation stilt restaurant on the lagoon, massage in grandmother house, pound with ducks....

If it is possible for us, you can choose between double bed or twin bed, let us know if you have a special need.
Decoration can change, we often invite artists to design our bungalows.

About Klong Prao
Although less popular than its neighbour, White Sand Beach, Klong Prao Beach is, in fact, not just an ordinary beach. Thanks to its location, the beach is split roughly into three sections by Klong Plu Waterfall’s river estuary. This creates magnificent and unique views of both the river and the sea. Being the largest beach on Koh Chang, Klong Prao beach is ideal for all sorts of activities including canoeing and kayaking to the adjacent islands of Koh Yuak and Koh Pli where great snorkeling can be enjoyed.

Beach Activities
Klong Prao Beach is perfect for many fun beach activities - sand castle building, Frisbee throwing or having a picnic. Also you will find wild area or little bar area on the beach.

Should you have any inquiry, please feel free to drop me a message. Thanks!

Me or thai people of the place are normaly very friendly, funny and open mind, even we can have bad mood some days, eheheh....For sure we always try to help our guests. You can also ask if you want to help for something (garden, art, permaculture...)

Other things to note

This was a great little village to stay at. The staff were fabulous and always there to give you tips and advice. The room was very comfortable and was situated on the river. The food there is beautiful as well. Could have spent a lot longer than we did.

I spent two weeks at Blue Lagoon and adored my little cottage-bungalow (D3) - it, and all the cottage-bungalows, are rustic, creative and delightful. Loved the wicker hammock (perfect for curling up with a book), the shell and coral mobiles, the folding French doors that open one whole side of the cottage onto a small wooden verandah built on the edge of the tidal lagoon. And it's all just a 2-minute walk over a little bridge to the long and sandy Klong Prao beach. The main street, restaurants and bars of Klong Prao are close too (just at the end of the driveway) but Blue Lagoon itself is blissfully quiet; in the mornings all you can hear are the birds. The restaurant is enchanting and the staff friendly (though they don't speak much English); the food is pretty good too. I didn't try the cooking school but everyone I met who did really loved the experience. Overall, I found Blue Lagoon to be a perfect, quiet and peaceful place to relax and rest after a busy year. I hope to go back again someday soon.

The location is nice and tranquil, if not slightly overgrown and in need of a bit of maintenance. However it is in tune with the environment on the island. It is certainly very immersive. The place is basic and quiet but clean. Expect a low pressure shower and ants. We enjoyed our stay but felt a few things needed mentioning which hadnt by other airbnb users. There is no wifi in the rooms. You can only use it at reception.   The bungalow is facing the water so, as expected, has lots of Mosquitos and bugs. There is a mosquito net provided but it has holes so may want to bring your own. Especially because the doors and windows do not always shut properly (one of the doors in my room ended 5 cm above the floor.) Bring plenty of repellent and sting cream. We also heard scuttling at night from mice running across the roof- a bit unsettling considering there is a hole in the roof in the bathroom. The blue lagoon resort are quite open about the fact there are mice and rats due to its location. They have 4 cats which the lady at reception said are used to catch the mice. Whenever you want to go to town you need to pass a paved way in pitch black that leads along a neighbour's house who owns dogs. They are no issue during the day but when you return late and pass along the house they will rush out, bark at you, show their teeth and run after you. They come very close but did not bite us. Saying that, the staff are all extremely friendly and helpful and the food at the restaurant is excellent. They provided us with extra towels for the beach and helped us book our bus to bangkok.

We are the first Chinese couple to live here, the place is well located, it's a lagoon and quite close to the ocean and beach. It's soooo quiet and private, we slept like back to childhood. we enjoyed the stay here.
