Located in Umamachi between Kiyomizu-dera and Sanjusangendo, this traditional inn hosts one group per night. It features three Japanese-style rooms (double futons), a bath with shower, and separate toilets for men and women.

The first floor is “silver backs cafe,” a vegan café offering original dishes and sweets like gapao rice, taco rice, green curry, pho, obanzai sets, and soy meat yakiniku. Come relax and enjoy your time with us in Kyoto.

The space
Machiya style guesthouse in the heart of Kyoto's traditional tourist district. Our rooms are traditional Japanese rooms and we provide clean high-quality futons for each new guest. Each room can comfortably sleep two people.

We only accept one reservation at a time, so all guests will enjoy exclusive, private access to the guesthouse area.

We do not have a kitchen on site, however located on the ground floor we operate a vegan cafe from 10:30am-7:30pm except on Thursday. There are restaurants, convenience stores and supermarkets in the area.

Guest access
The guest floor is accessible 24 hours a day via an electronic code-protected door, separate from the entrance to the cafe. Staff will be on site from 10am until 6pm every day to assist you.

Each room is individually lockable from the inside. There are shared toilets and showers on the second floor. We provide fresh towels, soaps, shampoo, tooth brushes and a hair dryer.

Other things to note
The property is surrounded by private homes where small children and elderly people live. Please refrain from talking outdoors at night. Smoking is prohibited throughout the property, including the outdoor spaces.
