The Village Bank House is a heritage gem.
With award winning grounds, you will spend your days feeling like you are in a Tuscan Villa. Over a century of memories have been created within her walls and you will appreciate the warm and welcoming atmosphere of the property.
Days spent by the pool and lazing around the abundant grounds, retreating to evenings of dinner shared with loved ones on the terrace over looking the sandstone fountain and manicured gardens, followed by a bubble bath and an evening whisky in the sitting room.

Sometimes the vibe is tranquil and you feel like you are living in your own European secret garden where the outside world can’t find you and other times it's a hive of high street rumblings to the beat of weekend farmers markets buzzing with community chatter. Night time back ground music of local muso's hoping to catch their big break at the iconic Bangalow pub filters over from across the road.
We are proudly an inclusive stay and all guests of any background or community are welcome here into a safe space. Although our stairs and tight access hinder our ability to host those with limited mobility, our heritage listing inhibits us changing this. We will do our very best to accommodate you.
Feel free to respectfully use the entire grounds to relax, have fun and create memories you will cherish for a life time.
Meals are made to share with loved ones from our gourmet chefs kitchen. The terrace welcomes you with a large marble table with plenty of space to mingle whilst enjoying the subtle sound of the fountain.
Immerse yourself in the unique personas of each of the bedroom and bathing spaces, surrounding yourself with sumptuous linens, hand selected furnishings and artworks.
Bedroom 1
Rest and rejuvenation is easy to achieve with the luxurious king size master suite.
The morning sun beams into the private dressing room, walk in robe and ensuite complete with vanity, toilet and walk in shower.
Bedroom 2
Character filled room with a double bed and sun dappled views of the old leopard tree branches and neighbouring heritage buildings.
Bedroom 3
Gentle light streams through the two heritage windows warming the bedroom, featuring twin king single beds. Option to create a king bed available if preferred.
Extra pillows and blankets are located in the wardrobe of the dressing room.
Main bath room
The main bathroom is located opposite the sitting room and has a bath, shower, vanity and toilet.
Sitting room
The sitting room features lime washed walls and travertine tiles with a grand
bi fold window offering the vista of the high street. Sit back and relax with the local whisky provided. Enjoy the ambience of gentle breezes and subtle sounds of the township.
The Studio
A hidden gem on The Village Bank House grounds, the studio offers a tranquil escape from main house life. Situated at the back of the property over looking the pool, the studio is the perfect place to offer your guests a peaceful place to rest or for you to escape the family and enjoy a movie in bed whilst the breeze lets subtle scents of climbing jasmine blow through the windows.

Fully equipped gourmet chefs kitchen which includes a 5 burner stove, 2 wall ovens, a fridge and freezer, microwave, kettle and toaster. We have a plunger coffee maker and a stovetop — you choose!
Open plan living and dining areas opening onto a covered terrace overlooking the lush grounds.

All bedrooms in the main house have ceiling fans and operable windows.

Other things to note
It is essential for our guests to have travel insurance. Very occasionally, during the wet season, floods occur closing roads temporarily from major airports, disrupting travel plans. As this is a travel issue rather than an issue with our listing, we don't issue refunds or extend stays due to usually being fully booked and recommend you contact your insurer to assist with the cost of disrupted travel arrangements.
We stock a basic pantry which includes: ground coffee beans, black and herbal tea, salt, pepper & olive oil. We encourage you to experience the local farmers markets on a Saturday morning from 7-11am directly across the street in the Bangalow Hotel car park. Alternatively the corner store, bakery, florist and butcher are all located outside the front door.
Kids and pets are welcome with prior approval, please remember pool safety and never leave children or animals unsupervised in the pool grounds. A port a cot with sheets is located in the wardrobe in the dressing room. We have also provided children's tableware in the kitchen.
Appropriate drinkware is located in the main house if you wish to enjoy your spritzer by the pool.
Please be mindful of the professional offices on the ground floor of the building. Although our walls and floor are double brick, please respect that some people are working and leave the deep beat tunes till after 5pm on weekdays.
