From Venetian polished plaster walls, to bespoke 100% flax bed linen and heavy block-out linen drapes we have created a space that feels like retreat from the outside world...

The space
In The River Studio, I have created what I've always craved in places I've visited... warm and cosy interiors with layered textures and textiles; and lots of amenities so that you can arrive and not have to worry about bringing toiletries, cooking basics and towels etc.

You will find everything you need to have a completely self-contained stay - whether you want to seclude yourself completely, or head out to dine at one of the region's fabulous restaurants.

The studio is an open plan apartment, suitable for up to two adults. The kitchen is well stocked with the basics and fully functional with an integrated fridge/freezer, induction cooktop and combination convection/microwave oven. The pantry opens to reveal a Nespresso coffee pod machine (including lots of pods - we're big coffee drinkers!), Dualit 4-slice toaster and provisions to make your stay comfortable. We have underfloor heating throughout to maintain a very comfortable ambient temperature and to make the experience of walking on the Fibonacci terrazzo floor a completely sublime experience!

The luxury king bed by Sherman is locally made in Australia, with wrapped coils for a beautiful night's sleep... we dress the bed with all 100% flax linen and 100% Australian made, ethically sourced goose down duvet and pillows.

There is a custom designed and made feather-wrapped sofa - suitable for lounging, dozing, Netflix-watching, wine-drinking and cuddling.

In the bathroom you will find a generous shower space with Venetian rendered plaster walls, stocked with Sans [ceuticals] body wash, shampoo & conditioner. The thick and fluffy towels by Baina and under-floor heating will ensure your shower is indulgent, warm and toasty!

Guest access
Guests will have exclusive and private access to the apartment and all it's amenities. Parking is directly in front. The Barwon River park and walking track is directly opposite and accessible at all times for you to enjoy...

Neighbourhood highlights

The highlight of staying here - apart from the beautifully curated interior - is the Barwon River. It is serene and ever present... take a walk; sit by it or have a picnic; swim in it; look at it from the sofa and feel the stress slip away.
There is a cafe 300m along the river walking track and the bus runs past the apartment to take you into the city and train station if you need it and prefer not to drive...
It's a very quiet neighbourhood and we ask that you respect our friends and neighbours by not disturbing the peace...
