Our self-contained, compact and art filled apartment in quite possibly the very best spot from which to explore Adelaide. It's with in walking distance to just about everything the city has to offer. Curated with quality design and thoughtful touches it’s unlike anything else in Adelaide.

The space
An Adelaide landmark, our apartment is in the historic Ruthven Mansions building. Built between 1911-14, the complex paved the way for luxury apartment living in Australia. We have fully renovated apartment over the past 2 years in hope that it stays true to the building’s rich history but creates a warm and welcoming home away from home.

The apartment’s sweeping high ceilings bring in ample natural light during the day through north-facing bay windows with views of Scot’s Church, the University of Adelaide campus and North Terrace. There is a new Samsung Serif television and lots of streaming services and high speed fibre to building internet. There are brand new Daikin reverse cycle air-conditioners in both the main room and bedroom.

The spacious bedroom comes with a very comfy queen size Koala bed with memory foam topper and a Juliet balcony with a view out to the Adelaide Hills. While the apartment is most suitable for couples or solo travellers, children are more than welcome, with a great Koala fold-out sofa in the lounge room providing an extra sleeping spot.

If you wish to use the sofa bed at any stage of your stay, please select 3 guests when booking so we can provide you with extra pillows, linens and towel. This will add an extra $50 per night.

The apartment champions the work of South Australian artists and makers, from the ceramics to Jam Factory furniture, painting, photography and sculpture. We have curated the space with a focus on quality and thoughtful design. We have beautiful Sheridan and Koala bed linen, quality towels and cushions to make your stay luxurious and comfortable.

The beautiful brand new kitchen features an induction cooktop, high-quality cookware, a microwave and washer machine/dryer combination, however, there is no oven. The apartment is cleaned using all non-toxic Koala Eco products.

As of June 2024 we have a stunning new bathroom with generous walk in shower, terrazzo tiles and marble vanity with luxurious Leif hair and body products.

*PLEASE NOTE* Our apartment is right in the heart city, so you might hear some city noises now and then. In 2023 we had all the glass in the bedroom replaced with thick sound proofing glass so sound it's not much of an issue.

You'll have the whole apartment to yourself through the very secure (albeit daggy) foyer. You also have access to the rooftop terrace.

Other things to note
Car parking with 24 hour access is available directly across the road at U-Park Rundle at just $28 per night. Guests will need to book this through the U-Park website.

In the heart of the city at the eastern end of Rundle Mall. It has everything on the doorstep including minutes walk from the Art Gallery of South Australia, Museum, State Library and Botanic gardens. Close to Rundle Street and it’s busy bars, restaurants and shopping. I have also included a comprehensive guide of places we love to east, drink and shop in the vicinity.
