The cabin sits quietly among the vines on our working vineyard at Blame Mabel.
Step outside and wander among the rows, a place to breathe, slow down, and enjoy the stillness of the country and sky.
The sunlit kitchen waits for cooking at your own pace, the fire flickers in cooler months, and the bedroom wakes gently with the morning light.
There’s no television. Nights are still. It’s the kind of stay you book when you need to disappear for a while.
Mabel may wander by to say hello.
The space
A Quiet Kind of Luxury.
Perfect for couples or solo travellers, this is a space that doesn’t ask for attention — it earns it. Nothing flashy. Nothing loud. Just comfort, care, and the feeling of being gently spoiled.
Every detail has been chosen slowly, deliberately, and with the hope that you’ll fall a little bit in love while you’re here.

Your Cabin # 1
This is the largest of three cabins on the property, each thoughtfully spaced for privacy. Fully self-contained, thoughtfully curated, and designed to feel like home, if home were calmer, softer, and better considered.
French linens dress the bed. Natural light fills the space by day, while carefully mood lighting takes over at night. A wood fire crackles in the background, setting the tone for long evenings that ask nothing of you.
Inside, you’ll find:
🔥 Wood fire for cosy evenings
🛁 Copper shower & vintage cast-iron bath
🍽 Fully equipped kitchen & antique farmhouse dining table
Wool blankets, books, games, and a rocking chair encourage rest. Reverse-cycle air conditioning keeps things warm through winter and cool in summer, comfort, without fuss.
⸻
Do Sweet Nothings
There’s no Wi-Fi. No schedule. And no reason to rush anywhere.
This cabin is about doing less — sinking into the lounge, watching the light change, letting the world carry on without you. Read, talk, nap, or sit quietly as the sun sets over the valley. Sometimes the best entertainment is simply being present.
We’ve thought of the small things: a yoga mat, a platform beneath the pines, a picnic basket, books, games, and lighting that shifts the mood as the day fades. How you unwind is entirely up to you.
⸻
Explore
Blame Mabel is more than somewhere to stay — it’s somewhere to wander. The vineyards are yours to roam. Kangaroos pass through. Sunsets stretch across the valley in a way that makes time feel generous.
Nature lovers will feel at home here, with hiking trails, national parks, wildflowers, and the vineyards of the Moorabool Valley woven into the landscape around you.
Pick fresh herbs from the garden to brew tea and watch the sun rise over the mountains. Or settle on the west-facing verandah and farewell the day as it slips behind the valley in a quiet show of light.

Communal Spaces (aka Cellar Door)
A short 50-metre stroll through the vines brings you to the communal space. Here you’ll find gardens, fairy lights, a large outdoor area, and a BBQ ready to use. Shared with guests from the two other cabins, it offers an easy balance of privacy and connection — join in or keep to yourself.
On select days, for limited hours, this space also operates as our small on-site cellar door, welcoming visitors for tastings. As staying guests, you’re always our VIPs. Drop by, have a chat, enjoy a glass, or simply take in the atmosphere.
The kitchen area remains private and is never accessible to the public.
