Combining earthy minimalism with luxury finishes, it’s equipped with everything you need for a lush, soulful retreat — including stunning outdoor bath, sumptuous linens, cosy daybed & private courtyard.
When the beach beckons, surfboards, bodyboards, stand-up paddle boards & bikes are all provided. And with cafes, bars & the ocean all within a few minutes walk, you won’t need your car… and you’ll never want to leave.
The space
Ideally suited for couples and solo retreats, SOULITUDE is a truly special space designed to help you slow down, switch off, and melt the stress away.
This duplex-style dwelling is completely self-contained and stunningly private — with a private entrance, spacious studio bedroom, gorgeous ensuite, tea and coffee making facilities, airy deck, outdoor stone bathtub, and zen-like courtyard all yours to enjoy exclusively.
From the moment you enter, the earthy tones, natural linens, bespoke wooden cabinetry and lush greenery create an aura of calm that sets the tone for your entire stay.
All the finer details have been taken care of — everything from the freshly ground coffee beans and French press, to a picnic rug and basket just waiting to be stuffed with locally sourced goodies.
The bright, airy bathroom has been furnished with a rain shower head, luxurious cotton bath sheets, and gorgeous eco toiletries.
When you’re ready to emerge from your quiet cocoon, venture out on foot to enjoy locally famed haunts like Little Miss Saine, HeyDay, All’ Antica Italian (incredible woodfired pizza) or Kawana Waters Hotel (for an afternoon cocktail while watching the sunset over the water).
While the beach and local attractions are just a short walk away, we also offer access to surfboards, bodyboards, stand-up paddleboards, and bikes for our guests. Please note: These amenities are available for use at your own risk. We encourage all guests to assess their personal skills and exercise caution when using this equipment. We are not responsible for any accidents or injuries that may occur during the use of these items.

On the cards at SOULITUDE —
- Nothing feeds the soul quite like a soak in our secluded outdoor bathtub. Crafted from stone and overlooking the private courtyard, you can luxuriate in the salt air while your worries wash away.
- Surfers, brace yourself for the selection of boards waiting for you — including two soft surfboards (1 x 7 ft, 1 x 6.6 ft), one 6 ft fiber glass surfboard, two bodyboards, and two blow-up SUPs. They’re all yours to use and enjoy during your stay. Our favourite local breaks are at Point Cartwright and anywhere along the Buddina foreshore (both a 5-10 minute walk). Alex Heads is also great, and just a 5-ish minute drive away.
- Yoga devotees can take advantage of the yoga mats provided, while those keen for some freewheeling can jump aboard the two push bikes.
- Take the wine glasses, wooden cheese board, picnic basket and picnic blanket provided, stock up on some rosé and nibbles, and head to the beach for a stunning sunset ‘sesh’.
- Walk or ride to the Point Cartwright Lighthouse for sweeping 270 degree views of the coastline. (BYO beverage!)
- The entire Sunshine Coast is at your feet — Mooloolaba is a 5 minute drive away, and you can be enjoying the bright lights of Maroochydore in just under 10 minutes.
Other things to note
- SOULITUDE is not suitable for children or pets due to the delicate nature of the furnishings.
- Tea and coffee making facilities and a bar fridge are provided, along with fresh coffee beans and a range of teas. (Please note: there is no kitchen in the studio. Instead, we recommend taking advantage of the excellent restaurants within walking distance, or placing an Uber Eats order if you want a chilled night in.)
- Air con, ceiling fan and heater mean you’ll be at the perfect temperature all year round.
- The Queen-sized bed is fully made-up, with all linen, towels and hotel-quality pillows provided.
- The studio is hooked up with complimentary wifi (perfect to stream your latest Netflix obsession while lounging on the bed).
- On-street parking is available in front of the studio.
- SOULITUDE sleeps two people. Strictly no parties. Extra visitors by prior arrangement only.
- Finally, please note that there is a small step to get into the studio, and also to step down into the courtyard. So unfortunately this listing is NOT suitable for those who have mobility issues.
