Beautiful area

Guests love this home’s scenic location.
One of the most unique stays available in the Blue Mountains with beautiful views into the Megalong Valley and escarpment. Little Black Cabin is an award-winning getaway in the charming town of Blackheath. The 120 year old cottage was salvaged, restored and transformed by Smith Architects into a luxurious and highly detailed architectural cabin. Leave your car behind while you stay. Wander through the bush trails from the backyard or walk to Blackheath's cafes, pubs, train and art galleries.

The space
Set in a quiet street on the edge of Blackheath, come use the cabin as your launch pad for adventures in the mountains, or simply retreat and recharge, devour your book, stoke the fire and absorb the views.

Little Black Cabin is a one bedroom, one bathroom, architecturally designed small space that is peaceful and luxurious.

Sit in the expansive bay window and immerse yourself in the escarpment views. Relax with an afternoon drink by one of the outdoor fireplaces. Stoke the internal pot belly fire, have a meal and listen to some music with the sonos speaker. Entertain with a big-screen movie using the cabin’s LG projector. Wake up to bushland views from the custom-made, built-in bed. Enjoy indulgent light-filled rain showers and the heated bathroom floor.

Come enjoy.

Guest access
Guests are welcome to enjoy the entire cabin and gardens. There is free street parking directly in front of the cabin for one car.

Other things to note
One box of complimentary firewood, fire-starters and matches are provided which is usually enough for one or two nights. Additional bags of firewood and kindling are available from the Blackheath IGA, Mitre 10 or any of the service stations along the highway.

There is a laundry cupboard located to the left of the front door which has a washing machine, sink and also a small freezer which you are welcome to use!
