Spacious 90 sq meters, recently renovated and centrally located apartment 2 steps from Piazza Maggiore in medieval building. A vibrant, yet quiet, convenient and ideally placed home with eclectic decor in Bologna's Mercato di Mezzo.

The space
In this delicate period due to the Covid emergency, I would like to emphasize that the apartment will follow these preventive measures to ensure guests the highest level of hygiene and safety:
- The apartment is cleaned by a specialized company that will carry out cleaning and sanitation procedures in line with the ministerial protocols for preventing viruses and bacteria
- The linens used in this apartment come from a laundry rental company that follows hygiene and sterilization protocols by washing with appropriate products and appropriate temperatures to ensure maximum safety

Centrally located and convenient to everything, the apartment is part of a medieval building dating back to the 13th century.
Located on the first floor, it’s just a flight of stairs from the entrance door.
Furnished with fine ancient furnishings, it features a touch of old flavored charme with all the modern amenities available for a comfortable stay.
Entering the house, you will find yourself in a large and bright dining room, with a modern and fully equipped kitchen and a generous size white marble dining table.
On the left, a spacious living area with a big couch and a “dormeuse”, for relaxing during the day, and a small desk for those who need to work.
On the right, a huge and super quiet bedroom with a king size bed and a TV, connected to a private bathroom with shower and bathtub.
Each room has separate air conditioning splits and remote controls and independent heating system for colder days.
A very fast wi-fi internet connection is available to those who like to stay always connected with the world !

Bologna, Emilia-Romagna, Italy

You will be living in the heart of “IL QUADRILATERO”, the old Bologna Market place.
This district was home to most of the city's artisans' guilds since the Middle Ages and is today one of the most characteristic places in Bologna.
The district is divided into a square consisting of: Via Rizzoli, Via dell'Archiginnasio, Via Farini and Via Castiglione. This ancient market develops in the area that goes from Piazza Maggiore to the Two Towers.
The streets that cross this district are mostly pedestrian, the area is full of residents and tourists and the streets are often crowded and full of life. Il Quadrilatero is an unmissable stop for those visiting the city for the first time but also the people who frequent Bologna for years love to come back. In fact, there are numerous bars and restaurants ready to satisfy the needs of gluttons.
You will find all kinds of shops, from extra luxury to those of mid-range, not to mention the fruit and vegetable counters and those of fish where the Bolognese are used to shopping.
This is certainly the district preferred by lovers of good food as there is every type of Bolognese specialties.
The locals offer tortellini, tagliatelle and green lasagne while in many wine shops you can have aperitifs with a nice mortadella and other typical cured meats.
In via Pescherie Vecchie, among the colorful fruit and vegetable markets, there are also some of the best gastronomy shops. There you can buy tortellini and other fresh pasta made by hand according to tradition.
Among the streets that cross the Quadrilatero nothing is missing so, if you are looking for a place to shop, you will be satisfied. The ancient goldsmith tradition still retains its importance and there are many jewelers based in this area. Alongside the tradition there is no shortage of modern luxury brands shops.
For the most demanding Galleria Cavour is entirely dedicated to luxury with a wide selection of the best Italian and international brands. In the same way, in the old commercial streets the small historical shops, often of family tradition, keep their place, in which generation after generation the family trade has been handed down.
The ancient market of Bologna is not only a temple of good food and shopping, there are places to visit and curiosities to discover.
Inside the Sanctuary of Santa Maria della Vita is the Lamentation of the Dead Christ, a fascinating example of Italian sculpture created by Niccolò Dell'Arca. The church dates back to 1287 but was rebuilt in 1687.
In the Quadrilatero is also one of the most beautiful and important buildings in Bologna, L'Archiginnasio.

Ciao ! We are Fabio and Marina, welcome to our apartment in the heart of Bologna! We live in the surroundings of Bologna and we love this city where we have studied and worked for many years. We like to shop and dine in Bologna but also come for just a stroll in the streets of the centre whenever possible. We have been travelling the world for many years, for work and for pleasure, always willing to see different places and experience different cultures. No matter where we are, when we travel we like to feel like being at home. And we want our guests to feel like at home when they stay in our apartment, “your home away from home” .
