A thoughtfully curated haven to restore and relax, Sunny Buoy takes it cues from fondly remembered childhood school hols, simple pleasures drawn from the wild beauty of its natural surrounds: frequent dips in the sea, combing local beaches for sea treasures, delight in sand and seaweed underfoot and the thrum of the ocean. Sunny corners to plop and read, generous tables to graze and gather.

The space
Sunny Buoy is a generously proportioned beach house set over 3 levels. The ground level offers a living space/TV room/den. One of the 2 bathrooms and a ‘games room’ with a ping pong table & darts.
The mid level includes 2 queen size bedrooms & a third bedroom with a bunk bed & single bed. Here also is the generously appointed open plan kitchen with breakfast bar, living/dining room & 2nd bathroom. The 3rd level loft area is an open space with a double bed & another living space.
Outside is a generously portioned covered deck with BBQ & in the garden a terraced area with ample bench seating & firepit.

Other things to note
The loft area can be quite warm during the day in the summer months, there is a solar power roof vent/fan as well as fans to make this space more comfortable.

Neighbourhood highlights

South Durras is a beautiful little village set in the stunning surrounds of Murramarang National Park. Teeming with wildlife don’t be surprised to find multiple kangaroos & wallabies roaming the village and trimming gardens as they go! There is a lovely cafe/kiosk at the Murramarang resort at the north end of Banyandah st - some basics can be purchased here like milk & bread. For further supplies Batemans Bay is a 15min drive. Cookies, Mill & Durras beach are all within easy walking distance. Don’t miss the wilder beaches in the National park, past the resort/camp grounds: Emily Miller, Dark Beach & Myrtle (optional clothing at Myrtle! ) getting there requires a drive (or mountain bike ride) on unsealed roads - definitely worth the trip.
