Guest room with queen bed, wooded view, guest bathroom. Screened porch with a mountain view; just 2 miles from the Blue Ridge Parkway and 8 miles from downtown Roanoke.
The driveway is 1/10th mile long, steep gravel and requires at least front wheel drive. All-Wheel preferred! But, the view makes it worth it!
Optional use of another bedroom downstairs per request for extra charge.

Very good hostess. We never actually got to meet her but she left clear instructions and worked with us on our check in time. Very eclectic mix of antiques and photographs in the house. Had beer, wine, coffee and tea for us to enjoy at all times.

Jeannette and her husband were terrific guests and although our schedules never coincided, I did not get to meet her and really wanted to, as our kids attend the same college! I hope she will return and we can chat over a glass of wine. Wonderful guests and in great communication with me. Thanks for staying!

Not a neighborhood; more of a country setting on the side of a mountain. Very private with great views; deer and wildlife in the yard.
Getting around
You may park anywhere on the lot. Public transportation is about 5 miles away. Owner can direct you; as she has been a photojournalist in Virginia for 30 years.
