We enjoyed staying at Sue's place. Very private and quiet Just the way we like it. Sue was very accommodating and she had loads of extras and she provided goodies for breakfast and a nice variety of snacks- that was very kind of her. Sue provided something cold to drink in the fr…

Thanks for your review of the 2 BR apartment:). October is just beautiful here and the daytime temps are perfect for enjoying the outdoors -70 degrees and about 45 at night. Jogging, biking and walking are great ways to enjoy the countryside as the roads are so safe. Traffic is local and limited to the 10 houses on this 1.5 mile stretch of back road. 1 to 2 cars an hour and usually less. Thanks again for allowing us to host your visit and please come back anytime:)

I really enjoyed my stay here. Connie was very communicative and made sure my friend and I were well taken care of. The apartment was very comfortable and spacious for 2 people. It was a perfect little 2 day getaway for my friend, myself and my dog! :)

Hi, Thanks for your review:). Wasn't the moon amazing last light? I wish you could of heard the vixen calls a few nights just before you arrived. The red fox (Vulpes vulpes) has a call like Jack the Ripper attacking a women. The screams sound disturbingly human but is only a fox looking for a mate:). The first time I heard it, I thought someone was being violently attacked. Fortunately, my son saved me the embarrassment of calling the police since he knew the sound. “Occasionally, someone thinks they are the sounds made by someone in distress or being attacked and the police are called. There are actually two types of piercing fox calls heard during the winter mating season. The short and explosive “scream” is an aggressive male warning to rivals, he found. The “shriek,” on the other hand, is a more complex and interactive call used by both sexes, but especially by females to attract mates. Please come back again and maybe you can hear it too- just amazing:).

My expectations for this stay included: finding a quiet, private country getaway for myself, my pup, and a few friends for my birthday, a hot tub to ensure relaxation, and wifi to finish the block of online classes I attended. Well, they were all fully met, and I am very satisfie…

Hi Rachelle, Thanks for your awesome review:). You and your friends stayed a week and were a pleasure to host. We had a lot of dogs during your week here. They all got along great and thanks for the pictures you took of them. A lot of folks want to take their pets to one of the many pet friendly beaches here. One of my favorites is Bower's Beach and its 23 miles from us. Small town vibe here. The famous "Storm of 69" caused a lot of tragedy. One family lost 6 children carried off in the family car as the family were escaping the floods. This was a black family and the community was outraged there were only 5 caskets. Meaning 2 children were buried in the same casket. See the documentary Storm of 69' and learn more about this famous event. Also listen to the fantastic music. The local band "Sand Creek" were chosen to play the music. All original music the song "Storm of 69" tells the sad tale. Lonnie, who wrote it was 12 at the time of the storm. Dave plays lead guitar. Heres some more info about Bowers Beach- the As the St. Jones River and the Murderkill River both meander their way to the Delaware Bay, nestled between them is one of the quaintest communities in the state – Bowers Beach. Once one of the premier fishing towns on the Delaware Bay, with an average of three hundred boats at the docks or moorings, this town has continued to endear itself to many residents of the state. People come to fish and swim, to bird watch, to kayak and sail, to paint, and to stroll the beaches looking for treasures. It’s a great place to get away from it all or to share fun times with family and friends.

Connie was responsive when we first scheduled the condo but I wasn't able to reach her when we arrived. Her handy man showed us to our place. Connie, the host arrived later but seemed to have us confused with some of her other visitors. Of the two bedrooms we reserved, one of…

Hi Daniel, We are puzzled why you never brought up these issues while here. When we checked on you, several times, everything was fine? We do appreciate learning about the dishes and mildew odor. If you mentioned it to us earlier we could look into it, provide you with new towels and re-wash any dishes. Incidentally, dish towels are to the left of the sink on the counter and are meant to dry dishes with. We try to use re-usable items as we are trying to be environmentally kind. We made up one bed because we thought you were a couple and would share a bed. Your companion turned out to be your mother. You insisted on helping me make up her bed. If I had known you were going to complain about it, I would have done it myself. The pictures posted are of my daughter and her husband- and my middle name is Sue. I value my privacy and I wish to keep my appearance and name private . Moreover- You are renting a room from so what does it matter what I look like, or what my name or middle name is?? Your name, middle name, and appearance should not be a consideration for me to book to you. Regarding pictures of the apartment- they were taken a year ago and we've made some some minor changes including decorations. Instead of trying, and taking time, to find fault, I wish you had taken time to appreciate the beauty surrounding you:). Life is short and we wish you many happy adventures.

Hi Michelle, Please come back and maybe check out one of our great music festivals. The next one is The Rehoboth Jazz Festival. Held this year Octob (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) and 16. It's the 28the year and everything in Rehoboth is smooth jazz all weekend. I went there a couple of years ago and had a blast. If you go to the main stages you need tickets and these are pricey. However, almost every main restaurant downtown has free live jazz music all weekend. All you have to do is walk up and down Rehoboth avenue and the side streets, find a seat in a restaurant and and vicariously catch top quality shows for free:) Thanks, Connie, Dave and Rome

We were received and shown around upon arrival. We experienced privacy as promised. The only downside was no network TV, no news or shows.

Hi, Glad you got to spend time with your kids and family these last 30 days:). Hope you also took time to enjoy country life, moonlight over the fields, sunrises, gentle breezes, wildlife everywhere, Sorry you missed your Network TV, but honestly, it seems out of place here. Electronic entertainment here is limited to the internet, music and TV for DVD movies. Thanks again, Connie, Dave and Rome
