The cottage is suitable for a single person or couple. Double bed in a "crog loft" only. Broadband wi-fi, wood stove, own parking, set in an idyllic part of Snowdonia with own woodland and instant walking, climbing, cycling, wild swimming, chilling.
It's "cosy and unique" . But you have to decide what makes the cottage unique - just because I think it is doesn't really count. For example some people thought Elvis was unique, or John Lennon (except that he was).
You have sole access to the entire cottage but beware of low flying door lintels to cottage entrance, bathroom and bedroom/study. Duck if you're over 5'9''. The cottage has its own woodland and garden (wild), again for your sole use, with the path from the front door leading to the "Zig-Zag" path down to Llanberis.I have a TV licence (but no TV) so broadband telly/iPlayer is OK on laptops/tablets/phones - charger for pre iPhone 5 models.
Interaction with guests
I will either be on hand nearby or always available via email, mobile or landline contact. Normally I'll be there to welcome you.
Other things to note
It might rain. And don't wander off up Snowdon without first checking the weather for the day. I've gone up there in heatwave conditions at the bottom only to hit near freezing conditions on the top when the disorientating mist suddenly came down. But there is a pub at the start of the climb, a cafe halfway up and one at the top. But the train up costs £25!
Sorry but NON-SMOKERS ONLY. Even smoking outside is not on as the stale smoke lingers on hair and clothes to end up on pillows and bedding. Not suitable for children. Sorry no pets. Otherwise leave it as you find it and as per any instructions in the Welcome Pack you will get on arrival.
I live in a tiny, but very cosy, former quarryman's cottage above Llanberis, facing Snowdon. I am frequently away from the cottage so it is made available during those periods - often Friday to Monday long weekends. It is set amongst a small community of like minded individuals and families who live here for all the usual things - trekking, cycling, running, climbing, ski-ing, kayaking, allotments, wood stoves, bees, pigs, chickens, dogs, horses, hens and cats. And magnificent roaming feral mountain goats.
