I am a retired naval aviator and live in Gleneden Beach. I have a small airplane and use it to travel often. I encourage other pilots to fly to Siletz Bay State airport, which is easy walking distance to the home (about 4 blocks). The airport is also near Salishan Golf resort, a 5 minute walk.
I've owned this home for several years and use it frequently. Gleneden Beach is my favorite of all beaches on central Oregon coast, and this home is sited in the very best spot for viewing. I want to share the oceanfront experience with others and hope they will write their feedback in the guestbook located on the dining room desk.
I enjoy agate hunting, perch fishing, hiking and beachcombing. I also enjoy watching folks that like to fly kites and surf, because this beach provides that opportunity. It is also a relaxing place to read, especially if the weather turns stormy. Seldom, though, is there not a sunbreak that allows one to venture out and get so fresh air. Fresh air, good water and healthy food are very important to me, and I always feel refreshed living on the coast. I have favorite restaurants and places to visit in a notebook that is located on the desk. I encourage guests to bring their rubber boots and plan to hike and enjoy the outdoors.
