We stayed for 4 nights while vacationing in the Finger Lakes. Maggie’s place was well located and easy walking distance to local restaurants and shops. Maggie communicated great prior to our stay. Her place was nice and clean. Maggie provided a light breakfast each day. We had several conversations and it was nice sharing stories about our families and activities. It was a very relaxing and comfortable stay.

Great experience! Very friendly and sociable host. Maggie and her husband are extremely polite. Everything was as described. Maggie does have a pet dog. The dog was a bonus for us! The breakfast was minimal but it was a good opportunity to have some coffee, a muffin, and chat with Maggie. She was very willing to offer suggestions for local spots but we found most places closed early. We were tired anyways so it worked out.

The house is wonderful and full of art. We had a very nice chat with Maggie in the morning. She has great stories to share. She contacted us immediately when we left something behind so we could return right away to get it.

Response from Maggie:
I do not charge a cleaning fee- The NY State tax is mentioned in my description. Usually there is time to let the guest know about the NYS tax amount, but this was last minute reservation.

Maggie is a painter and recently illustrated a cookbook called "Pavlova in a Hatbox". Her studio is on the 3rd floor with a view of the lake! John is an electrician. They both enjoy renovating their Victorian home and developing the gardens into a permaculture oasis. They sail on Seneca Lake in the summer, and in the Florida Keys in the winter. We love meeting guests and sharing our love of this area!
