Classic New England Cape Cod style house in beautiful setting. Only minutes from the village of Shelburne Falls, two "scenic byways", Great bicycling, and quiet walks and/or hikes. Guest room is nicely decorated with comfortable full size bed and a big bay window overlooking gardens and hills beyond. Private full bath across the hall/living room.
The bright, nicely decorated guest room is in a traditional Cape Cod style house built in 1991 though often mistaken for being much older.
The guest room is right off the front hall/entry. You're welcome to use that entrance or our usual entry at the kitchen. A private full bath is across the front hall/living area. You're welcome to use the yard and enjoy the gardens as well as our cozy porch for morning coffee..
Interaction with guests
Coffee and tea provided. We're not permitted to provide food. I'll generally be around during your stay to help with suggestions and directions to the many attractions in the area.
Other things to note
Shelburne Falls is five minutes away. A very quaint village with artist galleries and studios, the Trolley Museum, as well as a number of very good restaurants/cafes, some with live music. There's also the Bridge of Flowers and the Glacial Potholes.
The house is generally pretty quiet and we respect everyone's space and expect the same in return, including "quiet time" after 10:00 PM. On the other hand we're quite sociable and are happy to offer suggestions for your stay in the area. We have a big, friendly dog but do not accept visiting pets. There is absolutely no tobacco use, "vapes" and e-cigs included, allowed on the property. We do not have cable TV but we do have Wi-Fi and your welcome to relax and enjoy the yard with it's beautiful flower gardens. Note: We require a minimum two nights stay on holiday weekends.
