Park for free

This is one of the few places in the area with free parking.
This beautiful & historical 3 bedroom home close to Yamba boasts many charming & classical features, plus stunning views of the river across the road to enjoy watching the yachts sail by, & the magical sunsets from both the upper & lower decks. Town shops & cafes are a 5 min stroll away by the river. Spend your days relaxing by the riverside or visiting the nearby beaches, best surf spots, national parks, rainforests, sites & eateries, or just curl up with a good book at home & take in the view!

The space
On the ground level there is a spacious lounge & living area with comfortable couches, & a 6 seater dining table, with a lovely deck attached that catches the Northern sun most of the day, & looks out onto the gardens & across to the river views. Slide the old barn doors open to the right of the space to enter the country style kitchen. The main bathroom is also on this floor, with two vintage vanity basins, a shower, & a separate toilet.
Make your way up the rosewood staircase where you will find all 3 bedrooms; The master bedroom ahead has a spacious King size bed & 2 sets of French doors that lead out to it's own private deck with charming river views. The bedroom to the right of the stairs has a queen size bed & to the left of the stairs is the 3rd "loft" style bedroom with a double bed & river views from the bay window. There is also a convenient 2nd toilet upstairs.
Please note: Although the house can accommodate up to 6 guests, bear in mind that the double bed is smaller than the other King & Queen beds, so it may not suit all couples, as it is a much more snug fit for two, however, a spacious fit for one :)
All rooms have beautiful polished floor boards throughout & many of the original light fittings remain in the house to add to the historical charm.

Guest access
All parts of the guest house are accessible, & the entire front gardens, decks & carports are all for the guests to use. The space & gardens behind the house however, are not accessible to guests.

Other things to note
We are pleased to announce that the Argyle Hotel on River St has now been re-opened after extensive renovations to bring it back to its original heritage build, & is serving food & drinks 7 days a week.

If you are a coffee lover, we recommend 'Botero' roastery cafe in Maclean where you can enjoy their variety of beans produced & roasted on site! ...Not to mention their delicious cuisine for breakfast & lunch too.

'On The Bite' is another cafe favourite for great coffee & food, & if you love Japanese, we highly recommend Sushi Wallabian. Both are situated in the heart of town on River St, (but bare in mind that these two are only open on weekdays.)

There are many sweet old op-shops to peruse around our very quaint little town, & a wonderful scenic look out with picnic tables offering spectacular views of the coast, bushland, cane fields, river, islands and township.

For further dining delights, beautiful beaches & popular surf spots, Yamba is only a 15 min easy & direct drive away. (Our street will lead you straight there!) Iluka, (20 mins drive away), is also great for surfing & amazing rainforest walks. Brooms Head & Red Cliff are also only 20 mins away for yet more stunning beaches to explore with many friendly kangaroos, & Lake Arragan just near there is worth a visit also. The beautiful old town of Ulmarra (25 mins away) is the perfect place to fossick around the many antique stores, the delightful deli (Ulmarra Food Co.) with local organic produce, the 2nd hand book store & the historical & picturesque, 'Ulmarra Hotel' for a pub feed or beverage by the river. We are also an easy 1 hour drive to / from Byron Bay, so you can easily fit in a day trip there during your stay should you wish to.

There is a local Olympic size swimming pool, rowing club & tennis courts etc nearby if you feel like being active. We recommend exploring the many magical National Parks around this region also... We believe nature is the best medicine.

If you would prefer to just stay close & read a book on the daybed & watch the river, or eat fish & chips from 'The Clarence Fish Co-op' down the road on one of the jetties across the way while the yachts sail by, we think that is pretty good medicine too! :)
