Romantic Fireplace, Claw foot tub (w/shower attachment) in the bedroom, Living area, Kitchenette, AC, WIFI, Comfy Queen bed, Window Seat, unique Art. Starbucks coffee, logs for fire.. Across the street, Covered Bridge, Waterfall, Restaurant w/ Glass Blowing and delicious Food/Bar. Quaint village with a beautiful riverfront park, hiking, kayaking. Good Pets welcome. Parking 3 min walk off property

The space
This is truly a unique experience. The 1909 library is still authentic with the original fireplace, wood floors and shelves custom stocked with interesting reading. The craftsman style is charming with 14 windows in 650 sq. ft. Gently added necessities include a kitchenette perfect for light cooking with a small refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, tea pot, electric fry pan, and a hot plate (no stove or oven). I added a very comfortable new queen bed and claw foot tub / shower. The bathroom and kitchen areas are basic but functional. Beautiful to sit outside and hear the waterfall and enjoy the stars.

Quechee is quintessential Vermont! You can walk in seconds to the covered bridge, waterfall, riverfront park and one of the best restaurants in the upper valley! Guests travel great distances to visit Simon Pearce, world renown glass artists housed in a historic building with a restaurant, bar, shopping and art gallery, located across the street from the Library. The gorgeous back route to the Quechee Gorge is a half mile from the library, via Dewey's pond. Park and walk the road less traveled. Also don't miss hanging out on the rocks by the bridge. Woodstock is 7 miles to the west and there are Ski destination are in every direction!

Guest access
A coded bolt lock will allow you to access the historic library at your convenience. So if you are meandering your way and a bit later than planned, no worries. This is vacation.

Other things to note
10 min parking in front is lenient but I want it to stay that way so only overstay while unloading or pouring rain. An hour isn't pushing it. Overnight parking is in the large lot accessible from the road by Simon Pearce or the first left on Village Green Circle. Any unreserved spot past the parallel parking. Please don’t park on Bluff Road next to the Library.

Simon Pearce glassblowers in the basement are Fascinating to watch. Many of the neighbors work there so you may meet some great local artists in your travels. Lovely park by the river across the street, covered bridge with waterfall and rock ledges is especially gorgeous at night. This is a sweet village and you are in the heart of it when staying in the Library.

I retired at 43 from owning an antique and classic car museum, gift shop, soda bar and special events venue hosting 125 events a year. It was an exhausting blast of a business. Hospitality is my jam! Since then I have traveled to Brazil, Mexico, Bahamas, Hawaii, France, Spain, England, Cuba and DR Congo where I helped to build a school in a rural area. I have many destinations on my wish list and hope to continue to travel till I'm a hundred! I love being an Airbnb host (I have the greatest, most interesting and respectful guests you could ever wish for:) I love staying in Airbnb properties when I travel. I treat any home better than my own and truly appreciate a hosts generosity in sharing their space:)
