Master bedroom and one bedroom with 2 single beds.Large, fully equipped dining-kitchen. Spacious lounge accesses a private, large, sunny south-facing terrace with enchanting 180° unspoiled panoramic views far into the Chianti. Outdoor dining.
Large private swimming-pool to share in an olive-groove overlooking the untouched valley. Quiet! Pure air!

The space
Castello di Cacciano, is a partly restructured early medieval hilltop 'borghetto’ between Siena (35km) and Arezzo (17km) and about 70 km south of Florence' with only ourselves as fixed inhabitants. First written documents date from the year 867!From the quiet, gorgeous, untouched Valle della Trove, the 0.9 km Via Cacciano, partly gravel and asphalt, winds up to the pleasant altitude of 480m.
Our house, built on the outer wall of the castello, and the independent apartment with its private terrace, face south with breathtaking, unspoiled views from east to south to west, as far as the Chianti, without anything that hurts the eye. In a lush olive grove you find our large (14x7m) private swimming pool with a stunning panorama, usually open from June through August. Pure air and the absence of light and sound pollution characterise the environment. Village shops and open markets are at a few km, in Ambra, Bucine, Arezzo, Montevarchi and other towns.Super/hyper markets at 10 km. The Chianti, Florence, Montepulciano, Montalcino, Pienza, Castellina and Greve in Chianti, San Giminiano, Perugia, Assisi, etc. are all within day-trip reach. Wine tasting and cantina's galore. You will need a car, but hikes, or a tough mountain-biking exercise through the hills, start at your door step.

Cacciano lies In the the triangle formed by Florence, Siena and Arezzo, "forgotten" by most tourists. Many other famous Tuscan and Umbrian cities such as Montalcino, Montepulciano, Orvieto, Pisa, Pienza, San Giminiano, Cortona, Greve and the Chianti, Perugia and Assisi, are easily reachable for a day's visit. Even day-trips to Rome are possible, taking the train from Arezzo. A myriad of less known little towns and villages and there weekly markets are worthwhile to visit. Arezzo holds its famous antique market every first Sunday of the month. There is wine tasting galore nearby and in the larger area.

My husband Tony and I love nature and nature-loving people, and animals: we have dogs, horses, sheep and chicken. We enjoy horse riding and hiking, music and literature, good food and wine...and Tuscany! We have lived in many parts of the world but nothing can beat it! Tony is a retired businessman, I am a concert pianist and a veterinary doctor.
