​​Rent a room in a typical PDX shared home w/ working artists as your temporary roommates! We are a happy, peaceful house filled w/ art, music & all the knowledge of how to have a good time in PDX! We live in a quiet neighborhood off the beaten path only minutes from downtown by car!

Our home is a bit eccentric, it can get a little cluttered & may not be for everyone but we welcome all & would love to host you on your travels! All we want is for you to feel at home while you explore the city!

The space
Our home doesn't look like much from outside, but inside is a collection of custom art and furniture, antiques, and houseplants! It's eclectic and cozy! Plus, we have a cute and cuddly cat that loves attention and cuddles! He even performs tricks for treats!

We often have music playing or NPR on the radio, and friends drop by regularly. There is a lot of life in our home, but it is peaceful! We usually have a project or two happening in the shared spaces, whether that be an art project or cooking a big meal, but we also keep things clean, even if there is a little clutter!

Your room is small but cozy and private and equipped with a floating desk that you can pull down when you need, and put up and away when not in use, making the room much more spacious! The room has ample storage with a closet and space under the bed to tuck luggage away! The curtains are blackout, so even when the sun rises, you can sleep in, in darkness if you so desire! It's definitely the most cozy room in the house!

We have a shared bathroom and kitchen space! You're welcome to make yourself at home in the dining and living room, as well! Let us know if you want us to build you a fire!

We have bikes to rent for a small fee! Please ask when you get here and we can set you up!

There isn't a lot in walking distance from the house, but there are a couple of good restaurants down the street, and we are minutes from a bus line that takes you directly downtown. There are also a lot of walking and biking trails nearby that will take you through incredible neighborhoods and our thickly forested parks!

Please be aware that there may be other guests here during your visit!

Guest access
You have access to your room and the shared spaces upstairs. Which are the bathroom, dining room, living room, kitchen, and outside, of course!

You do not have access to the garage, basement, and other bedrooms.

Our laundry room is in the basement, so if you need to do laundry, just let us know, and we will take you down there and show you where it is. Please do laundry during the day between 10:00am & 5:00pm. If you want to start your laundry and then leave, I can switch your laundry over for you while you're out! It's no problem and I do it all the time for guests!

During your stay
Interactions are totally up to you! We love having guests but also appreciate privacy when we are traveling, so we understand both sides of things and want you to set the tone! We are always available when needed, and you will see us around the house because we work from home, but we want you to be as comfortable as if you were in your own home, so socializing is totally up to you!

Other things to note
Please be aware that we do have a cat, so if you are allergic, this isn't the place for you. We do our best to keep him out of the Airbnb room, but many guests love to cuddle and hang out with him, so he definitely gets in the room on the regular!

We do NOT have air conditioning and the PDX summers are getting hotter and hotter! At least a couple nights a summer even we would rather stay in an airconditioned hotel than at home! Most nights it cools off and the fan is just perfect, but every once in a while the heat lingers and it is uncomfortable! If there is ever an issue, just let me know and we will work out a solution!

We live in a small and quiet neighborhood with beautiful houses! There is not much to walk to, but we do have a couple of good restaurants we can recommend as well as walking and biking paths to suggest!
