The space
Tucked away in a peaceful part of Gili Air, just 600m from the island’s hub and a short walk to the nearest beach, Villa Burung offers a unique blend of simplicity, character, and barefoot island living. Built using traditional materials and methods, this original bamboo villa reflects the craft and culture of the island, offering a stay that’s honest, eco-conscious, and full of charm.

This is not a slick or new-build villa - it’s a well-loved, handcrafted home designed to let nature in and help you truly unwind. The bamboo construction, open-air flow, and tropical garden surroundings make it feel like you're part of the island, not just visiting it.

The villa features three breezy bedrooms, each with:

 Private en-suites with hot water (indoor/outdoor shower combo)
