Cosy, stylish, quiet, private & romantic. King bed with gorgeous elevated views, luxe linen, projector with Netflix via your device & unlimited fast wifi. Purpose built, luxurious, thoughtfully & architecturally designed, & a short drive down town. AirCon/ ceiling fan keeps you cool in summer. Wood fire for cosy romantic winter nights. Full kitchen, fridge/ freezer, dishwasher, oven, 4 burner induction cook top, pantry essentials & BBQ. Washing machine & tiled bathroom. Designed for a couple.
The space
Cleverly designed and uncluttered to feel spacious, you can expect an ultra comfortable stay. The master bedroom is on an elevated mezzanine level/ open wall to the rest of the cottage.
There is no TV however there is a projector and screen in the master bedroom so you can watch your favorite shows from the master bed. This is done via your own device & subscriptions/ logins, with our reliable, fast and unlimited wifi.
There is a dedicated fire wood shed (wood provided) and for ski gear etc.
It's lovely and quiet, there are only 2 more houses up our private country mountain road, so traffic is minimal. Our little old dog Sid might bark when you arrive, and our laying hens might proudly announce when they have laid an egg. It's really a very peaceful place.
The kitchen comes with basics- tea, plunger coffee, sugar, milk and the pantry has some staple items also like herbs, spices, sauces etc.
We will leave you to enjoy your privacy and live nearby on the same property if you need us. We often never cross paths with our guests and on occasion will say hello in the driveway.
- Approx 57m2 internal floor space plus external private patio and deck.
Guest access
Your own dedicated flat parking (1 car only) right outside your cottage. In winter you may like to have a 4wd for when winter driving conditions apply or if you are planning on driving to the ski fields (snow etc), but generally/ 99% of the time a 2wd will be fine. The gravel driveway is fairly steep and windy.
Your cottage is fully self contained with its own entrance and privacy gate.
99% of our guests have a hire car and we would strongly suggest you have your own car also. If you don't want to hire a car, factor in taxi/ Uber fares. You might like to walk down to the bus stop when you go to town and taxi home (as it's a steep walk back up). Please let us know if you have a large campervan.
Other things to note
-Children: Whilst we love kids, the cottage has not been designed with children in mind. Little babes would be fine but toddlers/ crawlers might struggle with the stairs and steep drop off in the garden. The fire place has no fire guard nor is there a bath in the bathroom and the sofa,, curtains and bedding are white.
- We have a porta cot (byo sleep sack) , a small baby bath and a high chair available for use, free of charge. But please pre arrange this with us and check with us before booking if you want to bring your little one.
- We have honey bee hives on our property, laying hens and a small old scruffy and friendly 12 year old terrier; Sidney (who is generally contained).
- The duvet is feather/ down filled
- There is no clothes drying machine or microwave (a laundry drying rack is provided for indoor or outdoor use)
- We have tried to make the cottage as low tox as possible

Moonlight Track is in the original old suburb of Arthurs Point. It's friendly and unpretentious with a lot of long term locals and families. Think windy roads, clusters of quirky letter boxes, rustic baches and grander homes. It has a country feel but is so close to town.
We are on a fairly steep mountain side which means elevated views and excellent sunshine. We are an approx 7 min drive to central Queenstown (around 5 km's), you can walk/ bike and bus to town also. We would suggest you hire a car as most of our guests do.
Our road continues on to become a well renowned walking and mountain biking track (Moonlight Track).
We have some great eateries close by (see images) but we are also so close to down town Queenstown where there are many world class shops, eateries/ experiences.
We are a about an 11 min drive to the gorgeous and historic Arrowtown.
It is a 13 min drive to the Coronet Peak base building/ chair lifts (for skiing in winter, mountain biking in summer and sight seeing year round).
We are so grateful to be on our side of town as we generally don't have traffic congestion issues like the Frankton side of town which can be very problematic in peak times.
