This is a true rain forest cottage! It is close to one of the volcanos so we were able to see spectacular dried volcano lava and the ocean rushing up against the coast line and black sand. Just amazing! The cottage is 40mins from the airport. So if you're wanting to see Kona it a…

The blue cottage was idyllic for exploring Hilo, the hot springs, black sand beach and the Volcanoes National Park. The bed was so comfy and the surrounding nature calls so relaxing that some mornings it was hard to get out of bed and leave the cottage to go exploring!

Beautiful cottage and beautiful landscapes. But owner should update her guide/welcome book to let you know that not all fruit is available to be picked. I picked bananas off a tree directly in front of the blue cottage with a tool that was stored next to the front steps of the co…

I'm so sorry if I was offensive! I know it's only fruit but I was shocked and disappointed. My family and I had been watching that rack of bananas develop for 3 months as it was the biggest one we ever grew and honestly it felt like you were steeling it instead of sharing it. I mean who needs 100 green bananas? I'm over it. Peace and aloha to you.

Great place to visit if you want to experience truly Hawaiian jungle. We loved the quiet rural setting. The cottages are well furnished with full kitchen. We found everything we needed. Good location for exploring the flowing lava.

If you are looking for a well decorated spacious cottage on beautiful property this is it! I loved having the convenience of a dishwasher and microwave in the kitchen. Jenny is super nice and and was very welcoming. One note: the cell service and wi-fi are terrible! It made plan…

We appreciate your 5 start review. Mahalo! We were at the property during your stay and had no trouble with streaming movies on internet or using cell phones. There were directions in the cottage to restart the modem, explaining where on the property the cell works and how to use wi-fi calling. Phones don't work under the metal roof unless using wifi calling. We just updated our wifi system with the best available and other guests have not been having problems. We have learned from your experience and will provide a one page info sheet for guests so they don't miss this information in the black book we provide.
